The Royal College of Podiatry requires you to do a refresher every 3 years to comply with their insurance criteria and it's been over three years (yes, we can't believe it either) since the first online up date with Jean.
Following the successful online updates Dr Jean Mooney is again joining us to deliver an online POM-S update.
The 4 week course will take place starting on Wednesday 22nd October at 8 PM for the first of four sessions on-line covering a full POM-S update and comply with 3 yearly requirements from the College and will cover.
• 22.10.25 Introduction to HCPC medicines annotation; Access and supply of exempted medicines; What is prescribing; The meaning of the terms IP / SP / POM-A / POM-S; Brief revision of how drugs work
• 29.10.25 - Exempted antibiotic agents and Exempted antifungal agents
• 05.11.25 - Exempted pain controlling medicines and Exempted anti-inflammatory agents
• 12.11.25 - Common medicines regimes: Anticoagulants; Cholesterol reducing agents; Anti-hypertensive agents
Those who sign up for the update course will be able to access the live sessions via Zoom webinar, with recordings, resources and chat available in a dedicated course Facebook group meaning that if you can’t join us live you can still take part.
Branch members come first so click now to book your place quickly. The course is £65 for all College of Podiatry members, £95 for non-College of Podiatry Members and £30 for interested students (please note this is an update but may serve as good revision for those studying)
