  • Media & Publicity Authorization and Release

  • Project Learn often uses media from our program and activity days to reproduce through printed, audio, visual, or electronic means in which your pupil has participated during his/her program days or sanctioned Project: Learn field trips and park days.

Your acknowledgment of understanding will enable us to use specially prepared materials to (1) train instructors and/or (2) increase public awareness and promote the continuation and improvement of our educational programs through the use of program newsletters, mass media, displays, brochures, flyers, websites (including social media sites), etc.

  • Media & Publicity Authorization and Release

Online safety is very important to us. We will continue to carefully share only appropriate media captured on our program days, field trips, and events through our website, promotional materials, and social media marketing. As our program has grown, so has the ability to manage the different responses of all of our families concerning their selection on the media release. Beginning this fall, we will no longer offer the option to opt out of the media release. As always, we use extra caution to avoid sharing location information.

Please get in touch with your director if you have any specific concerns that you would like addressed.

  • Parent/Guardian & Student Responsibilities

Once your enrollment is complete you will receive a detailed, site-specific Parent Handbook, often referred to as our Policies & Procedures or Code of Conduct. In the meantime, please review and sign for acknowledgment of these general considerations which are required for enrollment to our Project: Learn program.
  • Parent Responsibilities:

Communication: I am aware that the primary means of communication will come through the Weekly Project: INFORM newsletter email. If I have any questions about the program or classroom activities, I will reach out to my child's instructor or the Site Director either in person or via email.

Check-In/Check-Out Procedure: I will follow my site-specific policy regarding daily drop-off and pick-up, which includes arriving on time and notifying the Site Director if we will be absent, or late, or if I will need to request an early pick-up.

Supplies/Snacks/Lunch: I will send an adequate and healthy lunch, snack, refillable water bottle, and the appropriate personal-use school supplies with my child to each program day. I will make sure to communicate any allergies or sensitivities which may affect my student or the class with the Site Director and Instructor.

Dress Code: I will ensure that my child adheres to the dress code, which is intended to protect the learning environment and limit distractions. I understand that it may be requested of my child to change, cover up, or remove the distraction.

Technology Usage & Digital Citizenship: I will adhere to the technology usage policy, which prohibits the unauthorized use of technology while on campus, including personal cell phones. I will instruct my child to adhere to the digital citizenship agreement, which requires that I will act respectfully, morally, and ethically with all technology.

Field Trips/Friday Events: I understand that attending Friday events and Field Trips is a privilege, not a right. I understand that these are not drop-off events, and agree that I will supervise my own children, or the children entrusted to me, throughout the entire event. I acknowledge that I am responsible for covering any loss or damage caused by my children while at an event. I will also communicate in a timely manner if I am unable to attend an event I have previously RSVD'd to attend.

Class Cancellations/Emergencies/Holidays: I will review the 2025-2026 program schedule when it becomes available to me. I am aware that some program days may fall on holidays and that some program days may be closed due to holidays. In the event of a program closure due to weather, road conditions, emergency, or other unforeseen acts, I am aware that make-up days may not be made available to me.

Tuition: I will ensure that my tuition is paid by the first of each month, whether through the approved certificate submission through my charter school, which may require that I provide proof of the certificate, or through the online payment option. I understand that there are no refunds for unused portions of the monthly tuition, and there is no pro-rated option for unused days. I understand that if my charter school fails to pay the certificate and cannot resolve the issue, I am financially responsible for the tuition.

Curriculum/Instruction: I understand that the Instructors at Project: Learn are there to come alongside our family in our homeschooling journey. I understand that they are not meant to replace me, the parent, as the primary teacher and that it is the parent's responsibility to implement the core instruction to satisfy the requirements of my charter, private satellite program, or affidavit with the state of CA. If I have questions or need additional help in understanding the curriculum, I will reach out to the Instructor or Site Director for further guidance and clarification.

Behavior & Conduct: I will do my best, within my abilities as the parent/guardian, to encourage my student to class prepared and ready to do their work and with a positive attitude that inspires others. I will communicate with my child's instructor and try to support their efforts in the classroom. I will instruct my children to show respect for the Project: Learn staff and other students. I will share with them the expectation that they follow the classroom and site rules, which includes instructing them to remain with their class and not wander off into prohibited areas without permission. I understand that if there are ongoing behavioral issues or other concerns regarding my child's participation and/or behavior in the program, my child's instructor and/or the site director may conclude that the program is not a good fit for my child and that they may be dismissed from the program.

Leaving the Program: If we decide to withdraw from the program before the start of the year or if we leave the program at any time during the program year, we will extend the courtesy of giving the site director as much notice as possible so that our spot in the program can be able made available to another family on the waitlist.

Parent Handbook:  I have read, understand and agree to adhere to the Parent Handbook.

  • Financial Responsibility Agreement

Please review the following information and sign below for acknowledgment and acceptance of the term of the Financial Responsibility Agreement.
  • 1. REGISTRATION FEE: I understand that I am responsible to pay a $50 registration fee (per student) for enrollment into the program, regardless of the month we are enrolling.

    2. UNENROLLMENT: If I decide to leave the program, I am aware that my child's place in the program will not be held for me. I am aware that I will lose access to the curriculum platforms and that I will be removed from the weekly newsletter emails. Suppose we decide to return to the program at a later time, within the same program year. In that case, I am aware that I will be required to complete this registration form again and that I will be responsible for paying another $50 registration fee.

If we decide to withdraw from the program before the start of the year or if we leave the program at any time during the program year, we will extend the courtesy of giving the site director as much notice as possible so that our spot in the program can be able made available to another family on the waitlist.

    3. MONTHLY TUITION: I am aware that I am responsible for my child's monthly tuition payment, which MUST be received by the first of each month. If Project: Learn does not receive my tuition BY the first of the month, I am aware that I will be invoiced to pay the monthly tuition. I am aware that my child may not be allowed to attend classes until the tuition payment has been confirmed/received.

    4. CHARTER SCHOOL STUDENTS: I am aware that I am responsible for submitting the vendor service request for tuition certificates on time for my child. This usually requires that the request is submitted on the 15th of the month, prior to the month services are being requested, in order for Project: Learn to receive my approved and purchased certificate by the 1st of the month. If Project: Learn does not receive my PURCHASED tuition certificate by the first of the month, I am aware that I may be invoiced to pay the monthly tuition, and my student may not be allowed to attend classes until tuition has been received.

I am also aware that it is my responsibility to be aware of my charter school's specific guidelines regarding vendor service certificates. I understand that if I request services from my charter for use at Project: Learn and I do not utilize the services, my charter school may not issue me a refund for unused services and that it is not the financial responsibility of Project: Learn to reimburse me for unused services.

    5. PROPERTY DAMAGE: I understand that if my child is found responsible for any damage to the site or program property or that of the location or business of a field trip or event, I may be held financially responsible for covering those expenses.

    6. REFUNDS: I am aware that no refunds are issued for missed or unused program days, including but not limited to my child being ill or absent.  If there are closures to the program due to unforeseen or weather-related events, I am aware that we may not have the option for a make-up day. More information will be outlined in the site-specific Policies and Procedures Parent Handbook.

    7. CREDIT CARD INFORMATION: I am aware that Project: Learn may request to retain my credit card information through a secure platform, which could then be used to process transactions to cover any outstanding invoices, such as unpaid tuition and/or books on loan.

If I have any questions about these policies, I will contact the site director before submitting my registration forms.

By signing below, I understand and agree to these terms.
