1. Please review the eligibility criteria: Applicant must be able to demonstrate a clear interest and commitment to the travel, tourism, and hospitality industry or related field. Applicant must be a rising senior in Buncombe County or enrolled in a program at a higher education institution in North Carolina with a permanent residence in Buncombe County. Applicant must be at least 16 years of age.Applicant must maintain an average GPA of 2.5
2. Application Deadline is Monday, April 7, 2025 at 5:00 pm.
3. Once you begin you will be able to save and come back to this application.

4. Required application documents that would be helpful to prepare:
  1. A photo of a valid state or federal issued form of identification.
  2. Two (2) letters of recommendation - From a teacher, guidance counselor, professor, academic advisor, or other school official, employer or supervisor (paid, unpaid, or volunteer work), or other adult supervisor.
  3. Personal Statement - A personal statement (500 to 1,000 words max) answering the question, “What inspires you about pursuing a career in the travel, tourism, and hospitality industry?”

    Copy of an official high school transcript. Must include Grade Point Average (GPA).
    
    If you are a high school graduate already enrolled in a college/university or certificate program include an official college transcript. Must include Grade Point Average (GPA).
