1. What is the age limit for the team?
Players compete within their age group and may occasionally play up or down depending on circumstances. We aim to match players with competition of the same age and grade as required by travel leagues. In some cases, age waivers may allow players to compete with their graduating class.
2. What is the cost to join the team?
The registration fee is $650 per season (March–June).
3. What does the fee cover?
-6 to 8 tournaments
-Team/practice equipment
-Uniform rental
-Practice sessions
-Tournament entry fees
-Practice insurance
-Operating expenses
-Additional funds may be required mid-season due to circumstances such as national tournament bids, low player counts, or other exceptional events.
4. Why is fundraising mandatory?
Fundraising and sponsorships help offset costs, allowing us to participate in high-level tournaments. Registration fees alone do not cover the full cost of a travel season, especially when competing at national events. More fundraising means better opportunities for our athletes.
5. Who is responsible for travel expenses?
Parents/guardians are responsible for all travel, lodging, and meal costs.
6. Are fees refundable?
All fees are non-refundable. Please review the contract thoroughly before making a payment.
7. When does practice start, and how often are practices?
Practice schedules, including times and locations, will be provided throughout the season. Locations and times may vary, and updates will be communicated via email. Attendance is essential as practice costs are covered by registration fees.
8. What information do I need to provide?
At the second practice, the following documents are required:
-Government-issued ID from the VA DMV
-Completed player information sheet
-Signed player and parent agreement forms
9. When and where are the tournaments?
Most tournaments take place in Virginia and neighboring states. Teams will compete twice a month in leagues such as AAU, NTBA, USBA, YSAL, AYBA, and other local and national tournaments.
10. How much playing time will my child receive?
Playing time is not guaranteed and is based on skill level, practice/game attendance, attitude, effort, match-ups, and foul trouble. Coaches will make decisions based on what is best for the team.

We provide an organized, competitive, and community-focused environment. We offer teams for all age groups and skill levels, including a Developmental Program for ages 6–8 to ensure future success. Our priorities are player development, competitive play, and enjoyment of the game.
12. What is the uniform policy?
Uniforms are property of FSG and provided as rentals for the season. The registration fee does not include uniform purchase. There is an addtional 50 dollar uniform rental fee in addition to the joining cost.
13. What is the Developmental Program?
Our Developmental Program is designed for boys and girls ages 8–18. It focuses on fundamental basketball skills, fitness, and mental preparation through controlled scrimmages and competitive activities.
