ALBERTA CARE PROVIDER OF THE YEAR AWARD

Awarded to front-line care providers who have demonstrated exemplary client care through a commitment to quality, compassion, excellence, and enriching clients' lives.

• Specific examples are required to support how the care provider has demonstrated exemplary client care, which must illustrate care beyond normal, day-to-day interactions and expectations. 
• Documentation to support the care provider's eligibility is encouraged (and could include photos, videos, comment cards from residents/families/colleagues, already-received accolades, and supervisor recognition).

ALBERTA VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR AWARD

Awarded to continuing care sector volunteers who have demonstrated exemplary client care through a commitment to quality, compassion, and excellence and enriching clients’ lives.

• Specific examples are required to support how the volunteer has demonstrated exemplary client care.
• Documentation to support the care provider's eligibility is encouraged (and could include photos, videos, comment cards from residents/families/colleagues, already-received accolades, and supervisor recognition).

LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

Awarded to individuals who have demonstrated client care and/or a commitment to quality, compassion, excellence, and enriching clients' lives over the course of more than 10 years in the Continuing Care sector.

• Specific examples are required to show how the individual has demonstrated a commitment to supporting the continuing care sector.
• The individual does not need to be a front-line worker or ACCA member.

INNOVATOR OF THE YEAR AWARD

Awarded to organizations, or individuals, who have demonstrated an innovation they have developed, or introduced within the sector to improve the quality of care delivered.

• Detailed information regarding how the innovation can be attributed to the nominee.
• The innovation can be described as something new that has not been attempted or implemented before, either at a particular site or with an individual. 
• Nominees should be able to describe how they challenge the status quo in some way.

To nominate yourself, a colleague, or an organization for an award, please complete this nomination form with the required additional documentation or information. Applications must be received by July 31, 2025 to be considered.

Finalists will be required to sign an image release allowing the ACCA to publicize their photo and other information pertaining to the award. Award winners will be announced at the ACCA Awards of Excellence Gala.
