  • STEM Community Outreach Scholarships

    Please note that the STEM Community Outreach Scholarships are for first time, out-of-state students majoring in Computing, Geosciences, Mathematics and/or Physics.
  • Requirements and Qualifications:

    1. Must be first-time ETSU out-of-state or international student (either Fall or Spring term) -- this includes first-time freshmen and transfers.

    2. First-time freshmen should have a high school GPA of at least 3.2 (on a 4.0 scale), a Math ACT score of 25, and an English ACT score of 21. First-time transfer students should have a college GPA of at least 3.0.

    2. Undergraduate students are required to enroll in a minimum of 15 hours each semester.

    3. First-time freshman recipients of this scholarship will be required to live on campus and purchase a meal plan their freshman year.

    4. Recipients will participate in STEM community outreach activities as desginated for their major.

  • Scholarships are awarded for a maximum of 8 semesters. STEM Community Outreach Scholarships are not valid during summer semesters. All scholarships are reviewed at the end of every semester and the decision to grant students retention of their scholarship is based upon satisfactory performance in the eligibility requirements listed below, completion of individual projects and responsibilities assigned by the scholarship director or coordinator, and the recommendation of faculty.
