    NEW TO FTC THIS YEAR:

Door-to-Door Evangelism (D2D) & Quilting are NEW under Visiting Teams.

EVANGELISM: Each morning, the D2D team will gather after breakfast for 45-60 minutes of prayer and training before heading out into the community. Teams of 2-3 will visit local apartment buildings and areas surrounding our construction projects, engaging in meaningful Gospel conversations and sharing faith with those we meet. We will be learning and implementing the “Three Circles” approach. After lunch, we’ll regroup to debrief, reflect on the morning’s experiences, share prayer requests, and support one another in this mission. D2D is family friendly—allowing children to participate alongside their parents!

QUILTING: We are looking to build a quilting team, with the opportunity to quilt and then distribute what is made to those in need. Volunteers must be Age: 16+. Skill level can range from beginner to expert. If someone does not know how to sew and wants to try, assistance will be provided so that they can stitch along with everyone.

Help spread hope & build connections—one conversation or quilt at a time.

FTC has FIVE main areas of service. Please keep the following info in mind when selecting area(s) you'd like to serve:

Visiting Teams  [Evangelism, Nursing Home Visits, Prayer, Quilting]: These teams have a relational & conversational based focus.

Kid Friendly Teams  [Kids on Mission, Food Drive, Yard Work, Clean-Up, Nursing Homes Visits. Evangelism]: These teams safe for the ENTIRE family.

One opportunity that is specifically tailored for parents: Kids on Mission. This opportunity allows kids (12 and under) to serve our city with their parents, grandparents, aunts/uncles, etc. by reaching out to first responders, nursing homes, emergency medical clinics, local ministries, and shut-ins, delivering hugs, smiles, Bible verses, prayers, songs, and small gifts/notes of thanks and encouragement.

Outdoor Teams  [Yard Work, Hauling Brush, Public Area Clean-Up, Food Drive, Random Acts Kindness]: Due to heat, some outdoor teams may not work during the afternoons. Team Leaders will decide on a case-by-case basis.

Construction Teams  [Carpentry, Roofing, Painting]: FTC volunteers on construction teams MUST be at least 16 yrs old.

Support Teams  [Meal Preperation, Water & Supplies Runner, Photography, FTC Merch, Materials & Tools Scheduling, Database Management, Operations, Floater]: These positions have already been appointed by FTC Leadership.

  • As we prioritize evangelism during For the City this year, we want to make sure everyone is equipped to share the Gospel with those you encounter. We are asking ALL FTC volenteers to take a few minutes to watch this important training video to be better prepared to spread the Good News!
