Delaware Farm Bureau Young Farmers & Ranchers Scholarship Application
ELIGIBILITY
The Delaware Farm Bureau Young Farmers & Ranchers Committee will award scholarships to high school seniors or current college students for the upcoming school year. Two $1,000 scholarships will be given to students who are planning to continue their education with an accredited college or university.

To be eligible, applicant must:
- Scholarship applicant or adjacent family (including parents or grandparents) must be members, in good standing, of the Delaware Farm Bureau for at least one year.
- Applicatns must attend college full-time.
- Students who have previously received a Delaware Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers Scholarship are NOT eligible to apply.
- Applicants who have previously received a Delaware Farm Bureau Women's Committee, Kent County Farm Bureau, New Castle County Farm Bureau, or Sussex County Farm Bureau Scholarship ARE eligible to apply.
RULES & REQUIREMENTS
- All applications must be typed.
- Applicants must attach an unofficial transcript.
- Applicants will be considered regardless of their selected or prospective major.
- Applicant must submit a head and shoulders portrait of themselves.
- Scholarship recipients will be notified email.
- Scholarship money will be issued after the student satisfacorily completes their first semester. If the second semester is not completed, the money must be refunded to the Delaware Farm Bureau Young Farmers & Ranchers Committee. If the applicant is already attending college, money will be paid once the most current official transcript is recieved.
- All scholarship money will be paid directly to the college or university.
- Application deadline 4:00pm on Friday, May 1, 2026.

*Please note that it is the scholarship winner’s responsibility to contact the Farm Bureau State Office regarding payment of their scholarship
- Scholarship recipients will be notified by email after the proper selection process has happened.
- Scholarship recipients will be expected to attend the YF&R Tractor Pull at the Delaware State Fair, on Saturday, August 1, 2026.
- Scholarship recipients will be invited to and recognized at their respective county and state banquet.
- All money will be paid directly to the college or university.
- Money will be paid after successful completion of student’s first semester.
- Money will be paid once prior semester’s completed transcript is received from the scholarship recipent's registrars office. Information must be provided to the Delaware Farm Bureau on where to send payment.
