Texas Captains Meeting and Kick-off Party is Friday April 25th, 2025, 4PM-9PM
Teams can check in and pick up RULES. We will have raffles, door prizes, live music (TBA). Cold beer, mixers, soft drinks, and food! At least 1 person per team must attend to check in.
This is a 2 to 4 person TEAM tournament with ONE DIVISION!
GUIDES ARE WELCOME WITH A MAXIMUM OF 2 GUIDES PER TEAM. Teams may hire the services of a guide but the guide CANNOT FISH if he/she is not a registered and paid teammate.
The definition of a guide per this tournament is: Anyone currently working as or has worked as a guide or received ANY compensation to take people fishing and or that holds a fishing guide license in the last 2 years.
Kayaker, Wading and Pier Teams Welcome and MUST follow all rules as listed!
Early registration $80.00 per angler through April 1st, 2025. Afterwards the cost will be $100.00 per angler. Only anglers pre-registered and paid will be guaranteed t-shirt with gift bag.
This is a 5-fish stringer that can consist of a combination of Redfish, Flounder and Speckled trout with no more than 1 trout over 30” and no more than 2 Redfish on team stringer. All fish are slotted as per TPWD. Stringer fish cannot be used for BIG FISH POT. Teams must choose big fish. Weigh Master will not choose big fish for you.
Teams can only place 1 time per category. PRIZES will be paid for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th place stringers.
First place prize is $1500.00
FUN STUFF AWARDS
A $200.00 TEAM bonus will be awarded for each of the following:
- Heaviest Redfish
- Heaviest Flounder
- Heaviest Trout
- Most spotted Redfish
- Heaviest Sheepshead
- Heaviest Sand Trout
- Black Drum that is closest to 14 inches
There will be a Big Fish Pot held during the captains meeting where the teams will have the opportunity to purchase side pots for their boat/team Slots will consist of:
- Heaviest Redfish $50.00
- Heaviest Flounder $50.00
- Heaviest Trout $50.00
- Heaviest Stringer $50.00
Teams must pay for side pots with CASH. SHS will keep a donation fee of 20%. Prizes will be paid out in 1st, 2nd and 3rd places at 60/30/10
Your catch is yours to keep after weighing in and is your responsibility. All federal and state rules and regulations apply according to TPWD regulations. Sportsmanship, courtesy, safety and conservation are expected from all participants. Fishing areas are the Galveston Bay complex from Roll Over Pass to San Luis Pass, including beach front and piers within boundary.
All Team Members MUST stay in safe sight of each member. Safe sight for kayaker Team is 100 yards safe sight for wade and pier fishing teams is 50 yards This is for your safety and the safety and protection of Sisters Helping Sisters Fishing Tournament. There are no exceptions.
You may leave dock at 6:00am. NO LINES IN THE WATER BEFORE THIS TIME. There is a strict 2:00 pm cutoff for weigh in, teams must be in line with catch at 2:00 pm at Bayshore Park. In case of a tie first catch weighed in will be deemed winner.
Any disputes must be brought to the tournament director and weigh master prior to ending of weigh in and will be handled by tournament director and weigh master. All decisions made by director and weigh master will be FINAL AND ALL WINNERS ARE SUBJECT TO POLYGRAPH. ALL protests MUST accompany polygraph fee of $300.00 which is refundable if fraud is found.
