Community Service Scholarship: This scholarship is designed to support aspiring pre-vterinary students who are committed to making a positive impact on both their local communities and the future of the veterinary industry. The scholarship aims to recognize and reward students who demonstrate a strong dedication to community service, particularly in areas related to animal welfare, animal care, or public health. Applicants much show a history of involvement in volunteer work, internships, or other service-oriented activities that contribute to the well-being of animals or enhance the understanding and advancement of the veterinary profession. Whether through working at animal shelters, volunteering at veterinary clinics, participating in animal rescue efforts, or engaging in public health outreach, the scholarship seeks individuals who are passionate about contributing to their communities and are dedicated to pursuing a career in veterinary medicine. Any significant service may be accounted for, including non-animal projects and services. This award will come with a $500 prize, that will be given to the selected pre-veterinary student(s) in their undergraduate studies. The winner(s) shall be determined by the APVMA Executive Board.

Resiliency as a Pre-Veterinary Student Scholarship: This award is for students belonging to APVMA pre-veterinary clubs or students who are registered as non-club affiliated members. This award will come with a $500 prize, that will be given to the selected pre-veterinary student(s) in their undergraduate studies. The award will be based on any individual who has been resilient this year and has demonstrated perseverance through any obstacles faced. The winner(s) shall be determined by the APVMA Executive Board. A decision on the winners will be announced later this year.

BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) Scholarship: This award is for students belonging to APVMA pre-veterinary clubs or students who are registered as non-club affiliated members. This scholarship will be awarded to any BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and people of color individual(s)) to offset the cost of their undergraduate studies. The award will come with a $500 prize. The winner(s) shall be determined by the APVMA Executive Board.

APVMA Scholarship: This award is for students belonging to APVMA member pre-veterinary clubs or students who are registered as non-club affiliated members. Scholarships will be in the amount of $500 per student awarded. This scholarship will be awarded based on leadership, activities, and participation within the club and other school/community activities. The winner(s) shall be determined by the APVMA Executive Board. The winners will be announced at the APVMA National Symposium.

The amount of $500 will be awarded to an undergraduate student who has exemplary accomplishments during their time as an undergraduate student. One Health Scholarship: This award is intended for students who are members of the APVMA and have a passion for the One Health Initiative. The amount of $1000 in will be awarded to an undergraduate student who has an exemplary understanding of the One Health Initiative (the number of which is determined at the discretion of the APVMA Executive Board). The winner(s) will be announced at the APVMA National Symposium.
