We are seeking a dedicated and organized Greenhouse Rental Coordinator to oversee our greenhouse rental operations and manage "our pit." This role is based at our headquarters in Silver Spring, Maryland and is perfect for someone who is passionate about plants, enjoys working with people, and has strong organizational skills.
Job Overview:
The Greenhouse Rental Associate will be responsible for overseeing the rental of our greenhouse space, ensuring its proper maintenance, coordinating with clients, and managing operations within "our pit." This position requires someone who can balance customer service, facility maintenance, and administrative tasks efficiently.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and maintain the greenhouse, ensuring plants and facilities are in optimal condition
Monitor plant health within the rental space, providing basic care and guidance to renters
Ensure that "our pit" is well-managed, organized, and meets safety and operational standards
Assist clients with setup, plant selection, and best practices for greenhouse use
Maintain a clean and organized greenhouse environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are in working order
Enforce greenhouse rental policies and guidelines, addressing any issues as they arise
Collaborate with the team to develop and improve the rental program
Perform additional tasks as assigned by the management team
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong passion for plants and greenhouse operations
Previous experience in customer service, facility maintenance, or plant care is preferred
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong organizational and time management abilities
Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Comfortable with occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs) and standing for extended periods
Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
Basic knowledge of point-of-sale systems and administrative processes is a plus
