RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS
Committee Directors are the primary officials in their respective committees and are therefore responsible, with input from the Assistant Director (AD), for the substantive and logistical affairs of the committee. They are expected to remain current on all of their committee's topic areas and be well-versed in NMUN Rules of Procedure.
Directors are responsible for researching and writing one of the topics for committee Background Guides within the deadlines set by the Secretary-General and Deputy Secretary-General. They will also edit the work of their AD and should maintain a strong mentoring relationship with their AD.
FINANCIAL & TIME CONSIDERATIONS
Volunteers must be available to attend NMUN•Canada from 22-29 November 2025. This period is inclusive of Conference training.
Shared lodging and air transportation are paid for by National Model United Nations (up to certain maximums).
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
NMUN•Canada requires applicants to have a minimum of three full years of staff experience, in a Director or higher position, specifically at NMUN•NY, to ensure the highest quality in writing, directing, and mentoring of ADs.
