  • In the event that I or my dependents should become ill or be injured while at camp I, as parent or legal guardian, authorize North East Church, Inc. (dba as GodWhy.com); staff and/or the staff of Cold Stream Christian Camp to secure and give consent for any medical or surgical evaluation and/or treatment by the physician or hospital of their choice.  I understand that all reasonable efforts will be made to contact me in the case of any emergency.

  • I acknowledge for myself, my children or dependents that my signature below constitutes full waiver or all legal liability against North East Church, Inc. (GodWhy Church) and Cold Stream Christian Camp, its employees, agents, associates, and camp staff for all activities.  These activities may include but are not limited to: Fishing, canoeing, waterslides, swimming, hiking, creek wading, archery, arts and crafts, and individual/team sports.  I give my permission for photography or videotaping of my child during any camp activities.  I have instructed my child/dependent about the importance of following directions and instructions of the North East Church, Inc. (GodWhy Church) and Cold Stream Christian Camp staff.  Should I be requested to do so, I will abide by all decisions of camp director, leaders and management up to and including removing my child/dependent from the property.

    Important Information for Parents

    There will be Parent Information posted to the private "GodWhy Kid's Camp" Facebook group. Please join this group to stay up to date on all things CAMP!

     
    Camp Check in starts at 5:30 p.m. and ends at 6:00 p.m. at GodWhy Church on Tuesday, June 2nd.

     
    Please do not come before 5:30pm.  Our leaders will be meeting until 5:30pm and will not be able to greet your campers until then.

     
    After you check in your child, you may hang out to wave to them as they load the busses. They love to be sent off with everyone cheering them on!

     
    Please be sure your child has eaten before you arrive.  We will have a light dinner at camp Tuesday night, but it will be after 7:00pm until we eat.

      Pick up will be at GodWhy Church on Friday, June 5th at 12:30PM. We will unload the children and do a check out system through the Kidtown Hallway. Please do not grab your child as soon as they get off the bus! We want to be sure each child gets to the correct grown up. 

     

    A packing list will be emailed and posted on the Facebook group prior to camp! Be on the lookout!

     
    Please be sure to have all suitcases, pillow, & bedding labeled with name. Your counselor will have their team’s color of tape to label your child’s items.


    Please make sure your child has the necessary items from the packing list and that they are labeled! 

     
    Ensure all children know that showering and brushing teeth are their responsibility and they are expected to do both without help from a counselor. We can encourage, but not force children to participate in shower time. Please have this conversation with your child prior to camp. If you have any concerns, please see Lesley.

     
    No phone calls home will be allowed.  If you want to call and check on them, please feel free to call Lesley, but with so many kids we don’t have the ability to allow everyone to call home. Please do not call or text your child’s counselor. Our counselors are busy making sure all children are safe and having fun, so they do not have the ability to be on their phones. If you need to check on your child, please text Lesley at 615-979-5077!

     
    Make sure to give all medications with specific instructions on storage, how much, with or without food, etc., to the camp nurse in a Ziploc bag with medications form.  Also, please notify them of any food allergies your child may have.  The nurse will be at check-in to speak with you.

     

    All remaining balances MUST be paid before check in. Thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation in regards to this matter.

     
    Please bring a letter to your child with you to check in! The kids love opening letters from home once they are at camp. This can be a letter encouraging them, telling them how proud you are of them, or anything else you think they may want to hear from home!
