OUR MISSION
The Springhill Farmers Market is dedicated to fostering a thriving local marketplace where farmers, artisans, and small businesses can connect with the community. Our goal is to provide a vibrant, family-friendly atmosphere that supports local entrepreneurship, encourages sustainable practices, and brings fresh, locally sourced products to our residents and visitors.
BECOMING A VENDOR
To participate in the Springhill Farmers Market, vendors must:
1. Submit a Vendor Agreement (required annually).
2. Join the Springhill Farmers Market Verified Vendor group on Facebook.
3. Register for a market space in the Verified Vendor group (required monthly).
4. Pay for and secure a space for the selected market day(s).
The Springhill Farmers Market is managed by Springhill Main Street, a division of the City of Springhill. All concerns should be directed to Springhill Main Street.

VENDOR INFORMATION
Vendor Spaces & Fees
- Standard Vendor Space (10’ x 10’): $10 per Saturday
- Pavilion Space (9’ x 10’): $10 per Saturday (reserved for vendors 65+ and/or with ADA needs)
- Food Trucks & Trailers: $20 per Saturday (must provide own generator)
- Electricity: Limited outlets available at no charge for business-related use (e.g., crockpots, heat presses).
- Portable heaters & fans must be self-powered (e.g., propane heaters, battery-powered fans).
Vendor Space Assignments
- Spaces are assigned monthly by Springhill Main Street and posted in the Springhill Farmers Market Verified Vendor group on Facebook.
- Vendors 65+ and/or requiring ADA accommodations have priority for pavilion spaces. Any unclaimed pavilion spaces will be assigned via a lottery system.
Booth Setup & Appearance
- Vendors must maintain a clean and professional setup.
- All storage boxes and extra supplies must be neatly stored out of sight.
- Signage with business name & pricing is highly encouraged.
- Canopy setup under the pavilion is strictly prohibited.
SETUP & BREAKDOWN
- Setup: 7:15 AM – 8:30 AM (Must be fully set up by 8:45 AM)
- Breakdown: 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM
- Vendors must remain set up until 1:00 PM (no early departures).
- Vendors must bring their own tables, canopies, and any necessary supplies. (Setup is not permitted without a canopy or table, except for vendors selling under the pavilion.)
- Vendors using electricity must bring a heavy-duty power cord.
- Vendors selling prepared food must provide their own trash cans and remove all waste from market property.
- Vendors may not use market tables, benches, or seating for their personal setup.
VENDOR PARKING
- Vendors must park on 1st Street NE in front of Springhill Presbyterian Church (red brick building) or further north.
- Vendors may not park:
- In front of Bailey’s Funeral Home
- At Bonvenu Bank
- At the Springhill Post Office
- In customer parking for the Farmers Market
- Driving or parking on painted red sidewalks on the west side of the pavilion is strictly prohibited.
- No vendor parking under or adjacent to the pavilion during market events.
VENDOR REQUIREMENTS
Annual Market Agreement
- Vendors must read and sign this agreement annually.
- Vendors must join the Springhill Farmers Market Verified Vendor group on Facebook.
- Only homegrown, handcrafted, homemade, or Independent Consultant items may be sold. Wholesale, resale, thrift, and yard-sale-type items are prohibited.
- Vendors must comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including:
- Meat & fish sales: Approval from Louisiana Wildlife & Fisheries.
- Plants & flowers: Permits from Louisiana Department of Agriculture & Forestry.
- Scales used for sales: USDA certification required.
- Vendors must display required permits & approvals while selling.
Monthly Market Registration
- Vendors must register for each market via the Springhill Farmers Market
- Verified Vendor group on Facebook.
- Canopy & pavilion spaces: $10 per market
- Food truck/trailer spaces: $20 per market
- Vendors must purchase additional spaces if their setup exceeds the allotted 9 x 10’ or 10' x 10'.
PRODUCE VENDORS
- Produce vendors may sell on non-market days between March–November for an annual fee of $50 (due before the first sale).
- Qualifying products: Fruits, vegetables, eggs, plants, and fresh-cut flowers.
- Produce must be grown within a 50-mile radius of Springhill, LA.
- Vendors must display signage indicating where their produce was grown.
- Vendors must clean up after themselves and return market tables & benches to their proper places.
- After registering, produce vendors will receive a "Springhill Farmers Market Verified Vendor" sign that must be displayed when selling.
MARKET RULES & REGULATIONS
- Competitive price-cutting is prohibited. Vendors may not undercut competitors or dictate pricing policies to other vendors.
- Vendors must collect & remit sales taxes to the Webster Parish Sales & Use Tax Commission and the Louisiana Department of Revenue.
- Violations of this agreement or unprofessional conduct may result in removal from the market at the discretion of the Springhill Main Street Board.
