Landcare Victoria Members Council Nomination Form

Overview

The Members Council (MC) is an advisory Committee to the Landcare Victoria Inc. Board (the Board) and is established to provide the Landcare community in Victoria with a mechanism to collaborate, share information, network and form a common view on issues facing the sector. The Council is designed to be representative of Landcare Victoria Inc. (Landcare Victoria) members and bring together landcarers who are diverse in the roles they fulfil, the issues they deal with and the personal skills they have.

Nomination Process

• The Members Council is made up of up to two Community Volunteers (CV) and one Professional Landcarer (PL) for each of the 10 Victorian Catchment Management regions (Voting Regions)

• Members Councillors are appointed for up to three years in line with the MC Nominations Cycle and are eligible for re-appointment at the end of their term

• Nominations can occur at any time provided there is a vacancy in the relevant Voting Region. Nominations must be made in writing and candidates must be approved by the Landcare Victoria Board

• All nominations for the MC shall be made by a registered Delegate of a financial, full member of Landcare Victoria in the relevant Voting Region, and seconded by a Delegate of another financial, full member of Landcare Victoria in the relevant Voting Region

• For CV candidates, at least one Delegate must confirm the candidate is a member of the Landcare Victoria member organisation that Delegate represents. PL candidates must be listed as a Professional on the membership record of a financial, full member of Landcare Victoria

It is the responsibility of the nominators and candidates to ensure the above criteria are met. To ensure your nomination will be valid, please refer to the list of current Delegates in each Voting Region before seeking nomination on our website.
