Tuition scholarship funds through grants are still pending as of March 23rd. We will update this form and other sources of information as soon as we hear back.

Camp Location and Transportation

2026 camps will take place at a retreat facility in Cabin John, Marlyand. The location was chosen in order to accomodate families from Maryland, DC, and Virginia as it is close to the intersection of 270 and 495, making it a good center point. We will only be able to share the exact address with fully-registered participants, but it is very close to the Bethesda Co-Op, where we are planning to take campers shopping for fresh fruits and vegetables as part of our nutrition and cooking program activities (Bethesda Co-Op: 6500 Seven Locks Rd, Cabin John, MD 20818)

Transportation will be provided from/to meeting points along the 270 for an additional fee.

Scholarship Application

Please upload requested documents or email them with the applicant's name in the Subject line to info@kalimahprograms.org as soon as possible in order to properly assess each application and determine the amount of scholarship based on applicant's suppporting materials and available funds at the time of application.

Preference will be given to applicants who are able to commit to all 4 weeks of camps.

Merit-based scholarships cover 50% of the tuition based on availability of funds; to apply, upload below or email separately a short video (1-3 minutes) or statement showing applicant's interest in learning Arabic and some evidence of academic and extracurricular success showing child's aptitude and readiness for learning.Need-based scholarships cover up to 100% of the tuition based on availability of funds at the time of application. IMPORTANT FINANCIAL INFORMATION

(Please read through before submitting the application)

A $500 deposit is required at the time of registration. This deposit is to guarantee and secure your child's spot and will be applied towards child's tuition balance. When spaces fill up, applicants will be placed on a waiting list. The deposit will be refunded if spaces do not open up by the start of the program.

Deposits and tuition are refundable if registration cancellation is requested in writing as follows:

Full refund: at least one month before camp starts,
Partial refund: less than a month before camp starts, tuition of the first week plus materials and processing fees will be deducted, the remaining amount will be refunded,
No refund: If cancellation is requested a week or less before camp starts, the full amount is automatically forfeited. Special case considerations will be made in cases of unforseen illness or emergencies with proper documentation.

A minimum of 2 consecutive weeks commitment is required for any scholarship or financial aid considerations.

The amount of scholarship approved and tution balance due will be communicated via email soon after admission decisions are made, based on availability of funds.

Balance payment is due by May 15 in order to keep the spot.

Participants receiving scholarships and/or financial aid who fulfill scholarship requirements successfully will have remaining deposit amounts refunded 30 days after the conclusion of the program.

Changes in enrollment, unexcused absence, and behavioral or other disciplinary issues may disqualify a participant's eligibility for scholarship or financial aid, even after the program has already started.
If a participant is disqualified, the deposit is forfeited and the family will be billed for lost scholarship/financial aid funds beyond the forfeited deposit.

Submission of this form is considered consent to all the terms in this application as a legally binding agreement.
