  • Excursion Name: Crank Rock Climbing and Karawatha Forest (Year 3+ Excursion)

    Date: 7th April 2025

    Destination: 537 Kessels Rd, Macgregor QLD 4109 and then 149 Acacia Rd, Karawatha QLD 4117, Australia

    Reason the children are leaving the premises & transported: Vacation Care Excursion

    Method of Transport: Southern Cross Transit (Bus fitted with seatbelts)

    Departure Time from Service: 9:00am (8:30 arrive by)

    Return Time to Service:  3:30pm

    Estimate Travel Time:  30 - 45 minutes for each journey

    Period the child will be away from the service: 6.5 hours

    Educator to Child Ratio: 1:8

    Estimated Number of Accompanying Educators: 7

    Estimated Number of Children Attending: 56

    Proposed Activities: Children will participate in Rock Climbing, bouldering, ninja warrior and Pakour at the venue after being coached by professionals at Crank. Children will then travel by Bus to visit Karawatha Forest. Here they will visit the Discovery Centre and have the option of several activities: bush walk / water and sand play / fort and cubby making from natural materials (sticks and logs) / playing on the nature playgrounds.

  • Excursion Name: The Llama Farm and Kholo Botanical Gardens (Year 1-2 Excursion)

    Proposed Activities: Children will be particpating in a tour and education session of the Llama farm where they will be able to touch and interact with the Llamas. Children will also visit Kholo Botanical gardens to eat their packed lunch and take part in planned games and activities.

    Method of Transport: 22 Seater Budget Bus driven by Education Leader - Bowie Nugent (LR license approval) or Educator - Jeffrey Mate (LR license approval)

    Departure Time from Service: 8:45 am (Group 1) 10:15 am (Group 2) - Arrive by 8:15 am

    Return Time to Service: 10:45 am (Group 1) 12:15 pm (Group 2)

    Proposed Activities: Children will be playing on the inflatable obstacles and jumping castles available at the venue.

  • Excursion Name: Southbank and cineplex cinema excursion (Year 5+ Excursion)

    Date: 17th April 2025

    Destination: Brisbane CBD and Southbank, Brisbane

    Reason the children are leaving the premises & transported: Vacation Care Excursion

    Method of Transport: TransLink Public Transport inclusive of Bus and City Bus Loop

    Departure Time from Service: 9:00 am (Arrive by 8:30 am) 

    Return Time to Service: 3:00 pm

    Estimate Travel Time:  45 minutes

    Period the child will be away from the service: 6 hours

    Educator to Child Ratio: 1:8

    Estimated Number of Accompanying Educators: 4

    Estimated Number of Children Attending: 24

    Proposed Activities: Children will travel by public bus to South Bank and particpate in activities on Southbank area including main plyground and swimming in the pool / beach area and also go to watch The Minecraft Movie at cineplex cinemas and choose a drink from the cinema (list determined by educators) before returning to the service via public bus.

  • AGREEMENT

    By ticking the consent box below and signing this form, parents/guardians agree to the following :

    • I agree to notify the service if my child is not attending their booked session.
    • I understand that if my child/ren do not arrive before the start of their group times for excursions, they will miss out on the experience and charges will still apply.
    • I understand that my child will be attending an excursion off site, as per the travel details listed above if booked for the excursion. Any changes to these details will be communicated immediately.
    • I have discussed with my child/ren the importance of following educator directions & instructions (any child displaying inappropriate behaviour will result in a review of ability to attend further excursions).
    • I understand there is no refund for cancellations of excursions or assisiated bus charges from time of booking if notice is not given by the assigned cut off date located on the program.
    • I will ensure my child/ren wears the appropriate clothes to excursions (including YELLOW shirt and closed in shoes)
    • I will ensure my child/ren has packed appropriate safety atire for activities where required (e.g. Helmet).
    • I confirm that the service has my child's updated information (e.g. medical/contact)
