  • Pre-Waxing Instructions

  • To achieve the best waxing results and minimize discomfort, please follow these guidelines before your appointment:

    1-2 Weeks Before Your Appointment:

    • Let Hair Grow to at Least ¼ Inch (about the length of a grain of rice) for the best waxing results. Avoid shaving, trimming, or tweezing.
    • Exfoliate the Area Gently 2-3 times a week using a mild scrub or exfoliating mitt to prevent ingrown hairs

    24-48 Hours Before Waxing:

    • Moisturize Daily leading up to your appointment to keep the skin hydrated, but do not apply lotion on the day of your appointment.
    • Avoid Sun Exposure & Tanning Beds to prevent skin sensitivity and burns.
    • Skip Harsh Exfoliants & Retinol-Based Products in the area to be waxed, as they can make the skin more sensitive.

    Day of Your Appointment:

    • Take a Shower & Gently Cleanse the Area to remove oils, sweat, and dirt.
    • Avoid Caffeine & Alcohol, as they can make your skin more sensitive.
    • Wear Loose, Comfortable Clothing to prevent irritation after waxing.
    • Take a Pain Reliever (Optional) such as ibuprofen 30-45 minutes before if you’re worried about discomfort.
    • Let Your Esthetician Know if you’re on any medications, have allergies, or have had any recent skin treatments.

What to Avoid on the Day of Waxing:

    • No Shaving or Trimming—hair should be long enough for the wax to grip.
    • No Heavy Lotions, Oils, or Makeup on the area to be waxed.
    • No Intense Workouts or Sweating before your appointment to keep the skin dry and clean.
    • No Spray Tanning or Self-Tanners before waxing, as the wax can remove the tan.

Following these pre-waxing guidelines will help ensure a smooth, effective, and comfortable waxing experience.

  • Post-Waxing Instructions

  • To ensure the best results and minimize irritation, please follow these aftercare guidelines:

    First 24-48 Hours After Waxing:

    • Avoid Touching or Scratching the waxed area to prevent irritation and bacteria transfer.
    • Wear Loose Clothing to prevent friction and irritation.
    • Keep the Area Clean & Dry—avoid excessive sweating, saunas, hot baths, and swimming pools.
    • Use a Gentle Cleanser and avoid harsh scrubs, exfoliants, or scented lotions.
    • Moisturize Daily with a fragrance-free lotion or aloe vera to soothe the skin.
    • Apply Cold Compress if you experience redness or swelling.

    Avoid for 24-48 Hours:

    • Sun Exposure & Tanning Beds – Your skin is more sensitive and prone to burns.
    • Exfoliation – Wait at least 48 hours before exfoliating to prevent irritation.
    • Heavy Workouts & Sweating – Heat and friction can cause breakouts or ingrown hairs.
    • Hot Showers, Baths, or Steam Rooms – Stick to lukewarm water to prevent irritation.
    • Makeup or Perfumed Products – If waxed on the face, avoid makeup for 24 hours.

    Preventing Ingrown Hairs:

    • After 48 hours, gently exfoliate 2-3 times a week using a mild scrub or exfoliating mitt.
    • Continue moisturizing daily to keep the skin soft and hair regrowth smooth.

If You Experience Irritation or Breakouts:

    • Apply a fragrance-free aloe vera gel or a calming serum.
    • Avoid picking, scratching, or shaving over the waxed area.
    • If irritation persists, consult your esthetician.

By following these instructions, you can maintain smooth, healthy skin and reduce the risk of discomfort or ingrown hairs.
