As a member of the 2025 Winterthur Institute cohort, you agree to comply with the following:
- Like staff, students, and volunteers of Winterthur Museum, Garden & Library, act with integrity and in accordance with rigorous ethical principles that must not detract from the dignity or credibility of peer professionals, nor cause Winterthur’s name, reputation, property, or services to be diminished. Failure to comply with Winterthur’s research misconduct policy, may result in termination of participation and disqualification from future fellowship opportunities.
- Understand that Winterthur may use the images of the Winterthur Institute cohort for educational, marketing, publicity, and other organizational uses without restrictions on the duration of use, number of uses or cropping of the images. As you share news of your experience at Winterthur on your own social media channels, please consider tagging Winterthur (#Winterthur, @winterthurmuse, #WinterthurInstitute).
- Devote full time to the experience March 30 – April 11, 2025. Please notify Stephenie Bailey of any unavoidable absences if opportunities arise after acceptance into the Winterthur Institute cohort.
- With confidentiality, respect and protect sensitive information regarding donors, campus security, private collections and negotiations, collections information, du Pont history, and personnel of Winterthur Museum, Garden & Library.
- Treat all interpersonal relationships with honesty and dignity, while recognizing the specialized knowledge and lived experiences of others. Sexual harassment, racial or ethnic slurs, and other degrading conduct or comments are not tolerated at Winterthur.
- Avoid situations in which there is a potential for a conflict of interest that may affect quality of work, lead to dissemination of false information, or give appearance of impropriety in activities such as personal collecting, dealing, appraising, accepting gifts, and conducting outside employment. The cohort shall not use their position to derive any profit or gain, directly or indirectly, by association with Winterthur and shall not become involved in any business interest or transaction for services or goods without disclosing such business interests.
