  • Letter from Roshei April Sem

    Shalom Parents and Channichim.
  • We cannot beleive the time has come for April Sem to be launching!!!

    From the 17th - 22nd of April, our incredible group of Emek (grade 11) and Zamir (grade 12) channichim will be travelling back to our beloved Onrus campsite with some of our top tier maddrichim.

    For Bogrim 1 (Zamir), the seminar will focus on hadracha (leadership) training which will give them the neccesary skills to become excellent madrichim.

    For Shomrim (Emek), the seminar will focus on ideology, hadracha and the meaning of Habonim Dror as a movement.

    Our April Seminar is one of the most prestigious seminars we run throughout the year. This program has been carefully constructed to foster a space in which all channichim have the opportunity to engage and grow in an environment that is uniqeuly geared towards moulding qualities of expression, engagment and enjoyment.

    Our channichim will get to indulge into the core of Habonim, its values and will ultimatley be having an insane amount of fun as well as celebrating the Pesach holidays together as a Habonim family. This incredible experience is indescribable in the way it shapes our channichims future in the movement.

    Due to the seniour nature of this program, we have a hand picked a group of madrichim who are passionate and commited to ultimately plan and run the most incredible April Seminar for our channichim. This years April Seminar Roshim are Eva Pazaitis and Max Mendelow, this powerful dynamic duo are ready to run an unforgettable experience for our channichim.

    We cannot wait to see you all there !

  • MOTIVATION FOR APRIL SEM

  • Dear Zamir and Emek

    April Seminar is Habo's premier programme for Grade 11s and 12s. April Sem is an experience like no other in Habo where in which you will gain an enormous amount of knowledge, values and skills, as well as have an incredible amount of fun.

    April Sem is very much a group experience and relies on participants’ ability to be tolerant and accepting, sociable, friendly and compromising. Finally, there are limited available places on the seminar and for this reason we ask you (the applicant) to write a short motivation, below, on why you want to attend April Sem, why you think you would be an asset to the group and Habonim, and why you would gain something substantial from this programme. Please note that the programme is an educational, as well as a fun experience. By applying, you are expected to engage fully with all peulot during your time there.

    By clicking 'Next', below, your motivation will be emailed to Eva Pazaitis and Max Mendelow (Roshei April Sem), after which no further changes can be made.

    We are incredibly excited to have you all join us this April Sem!

    3.        Undertake to abide by all the rules, regulations and procedures of the Machaneh and in particular, without derogating from the generality of the aforegoing, the rules, regulations and procedures relating to visits to or communications with the applicant during the course of the Machaneh, with which rules and regulations I acknowledge myself to be acquainted;

    8.4     Should the applicant be sent home due to unacceptable or disruptive behaviour or breaking any rule of the Machaneh, the applicant shall not be permitted to participate in and/or attend any other event organised by the organisers, unless the director and/or organisers, in their sole discretion, decide otherwise;

    9.        Accept that, in the event of the applicant being unable for any reason whatsoever to attend or participate in the Machaneh for the full period thereof or at all, neither the applicant nor I shall have any claim for a refund of the fees already paid in respect of the Machaneh, unless the organisers in their sole discretion decide otherwise;

    10.     Acknowledge that each of the aforegoing provisions is severable from the others and may be enforced against me and/or the applicant separately from the other provisions.
