  • Sanctioned Event Registration

    SC Festival of Flowers Sanctioned Events must occur June 1 - 30.
  • We cordially invite you to participate as a partner of the SC Festival of Flowers that will be held during the month of June. This invitation is extended to any for-profit or non-profit organization wishing to participate as a sanctioned event partner during the SC Festival of Flowers. We are so excited to celebrate another year with the Greenwood community. Your previous engagement and support is greatly appreciated, and we hope to work with you again.

    Participating as a sanctioned event is a unique opportunity, unlike any other partnership in Greenwood.  Benefits of a SC Festival of Flowers sanctioned event include: 

    MARKETING PROMOTION & EXPOSURE
    •  Listing in the Official program
    •  Listing in the SCFOF website and Official Brochure/Schedule
    •  Listing in marketing & advertisements that outline the SCFOF Schedule
    •  Social media exposure with cross-promoting/tagging across SCFOF platforms:  Facebook, Twitter, Instagram

    Your investment to participate as a sanctioned event is only $350. 

    Please complete and submit the Sanctioned Event Application (see attached) with event details no later than February 28 so that we may begin updating our website and print materials. 

    We hope that you will consider partnering with us again as this is a wonderful marketing opportunity that creates awareness and exposure for your event.

  • Sanctioned Event Information

    The following information is needed in order to participate as a sanctioned event partner during the SC Festival of Flowers.
  • The information you provide in this application is used in a variety of SC Festival of Flowers promotional materials and is distributed to the media; provide information as you would like to see it published.  

    NOTE: Events must be in the month of June in order to be an official sanctioned event.

    DEADLINE: The deadline for organizations seeking sanctioned event status is February 28.

    Notice of acceptance/denial will be emailed by March 15.
    Events will be notified of acceptance and contacted for payment.  

    To assure accuracy in the listings of your event: 
    1. Changes to this application must be submitted to info@scfestivalofflowers.org as soon as you are aware of them.
    2. Changes must be received by March 15 to be updated in printed publications.
    3. It is important to notify us of any changes at info@scfestivalofflowers.org up until your event date to keep our community informed (we can update our website & post changes to our social media).

    Please provide information as you would like to see it published.

  • SC Festival of Flowers Sanctioned Events Guidelines

    1. Sanctioned events will receive the following benefits:

    •  Use of the Festival logo (provided with approval letter) on advertising and promotional materials. Requests to produce other retail, promotional or specialty items using the Festival name and logo must receive prior written permission from the Festival.
    •  Inclusion in the Official Festival Program 
    •  Listing in the schedule of events on our website: www.scfestivalofflowers.org
    •  Event mentioned/highlighted as a sanctioned event on SCFOF Facebook, any social media outlets, and in emails to subscribers.
    •  Festival office must receive event/organization logo(s) and event publicity photos by March 15 in order to be included in information provided to the Media.  


    2. Sanctioned events organizers MUST: 

    •  Ensure the event is “family friendly” and not conflict with SC Festival of Flowers official events.
    •  Prominently display the SC Festival of Flowers name and logo on all materials that promote your sanctioned event including, but not limited to:  advertisements, brochures, banners, clothing, items, posters, programs and tickets. Copies of all advertising materials must be provided to the Festival office prior to printing or production. Verbal mention required in radio promotions. The SCFOF will provide either electronic or camera ready logos for your use.
    •  Drafts of promotional materials must be submitted to the SC Festival of Flowers for review and approval prior to any mass production or distribution.
    •  SC FOF logo and link from sanctioned event website with prominent display on Home page.
    •  Inform us of any changes to date or location as soon as you are aware of the changes.
    •  Logo and mention included in Social Media:  Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
    •  Provide a copy of liability insurance with “The SC Festival of Flowers” listed as additional insured organization. Copy of insurance application listing "The SC Festival of Flowers" must be submitted by April 30 & copy of the actual document by May 21.
    •  Include “The SC FESTIVAL OF FLOWERS” in all disclaimers, waivers and hold harmless statements. 

     

    3. The Festival must receive all event information by March 15

    Submission of application does not guarantee acceptance. Approved events will be notified no later than March 15. Acceptance as a Sanctioned Event of the SC Festival of Flowers does not indicate sponsorship or support, to include financial, volunteer, staffed, or implied support, and does not make the SC Festival of Flowers liable in any way for any actions or negligence of the organizing agency or the event.

  • Submitting this application denotes review and acceptance of the SC Festival of Flowers Sanctioned Events guidelines, including fee payment deadline, insurance and indemnification, and the SCFOF right of approval of event sponsorship. Insurance and indemnification: Your organization shall indemnify and hold the Greenwood SC Chamber and the SC Festival of Flowers, its directors, officers, agents and employees harmless from and against any and all claims arising from or in connection with your event, unless such claim is due to the sole negligence of the SC Festival of Flowers. Submission of application does not guarantee acceptance.
