• CAIR-MA Muslim Youth Leadership Program (MYLP) 2025 Application

    The Muslim Youth Leadership Program is an intensive leadership program which aims to activate young Muslims in Massachusetts in the world of organizing and change-making through centering the themes of advocacy, civic engagement, social justice, and community organizing. The standard fee for the Muslim Youth Leadership Program is $500, and payment must be received by Thursday July 10 11:59 PM to complete your registration.   • Please select ONE of the following prompts and share your response below.

    1) Media Analysis Essay: Select a recent news article on a topic of your choice. Write a 500-word essay analyzing the article’s bias, sources, and the overall narrative. Discuss how the media outlet's perspective might influence public opinion on the issue.

    2)Interview and Report: Interview a community leader or activist who has been part of a successful coalition. Write a 500-word report summarizing the key points from the interview.

    3)Community Needs Assessment: Conduct a needs assessment for your local community by interviewing at least three residents or community leaders. Write a 500-word report summarizing your findings and proposing a project to address one of the identified needs.

    4)Policy Research: Research current and specific government policies at the city, county, state, or federal level. In 500 words, share what would you change about this policy and why you think the change is necessary. Please cite sources.

    5)Creative Project: Create a piece of art (painting, video, poem, etc.) that represents your vision for a better community. Write a 300-word artist’s statement explaining the inspiration behind your work and its intended message.
