L3 Lady of the Year Essay Challenge : Over the past 15 years, our organization has built a legacy of leadership and mentorship, shaping the lives of young women like you. As we celebrate this milestone, we want to hear your voice. Reflect on the journey of leadership—both in the past and looking toward the future. In your essay, consider the following:

1. Honoring the Past:• What lessons can we learn from the experiences of leaders and mentors who came before us?• How has the legacy of this organization or other role models influenced your own growth as a leader?

2. Empowering the Future:• What does leadership mean to you, and how do you see yourself as a leader in the years to come?• What changes or contributions would you like to see in your community, and how can young leaders like you make them happen?

Your essay should highlight the importance of learning from the past while embracing the opportunities and challenges of the future. Be personal, creative, and specific as you share your story and vision for leadership.

Length: 500-750 words

Audience: This essay will be shared with attendees of the 15-year celebration, showcasing the voices of the next generation of leaders.

Your application will be chosen based on the quality and uniqueness of your response essays as well as your academic achievement and school involvement. Do not be discouraged in applying if you lack in one area. We will consider every applicant to give as many of you the opportunity to attend this conference. Best wishes! Cancellation & Refund Policy

Program fees cannot be refunded once paid unless student application is denied.

"No shows" will not receive any refund for any reason, but will have the opportunity to obtain a Conference bag with partial materials and some prizes if we are contacted.

Program fees will be returned in the case of having to cancel the Conference due to Covid-19. Submit your cancellation request in writing to the Event Planning Director, Suwana Janvier, at suwana@l3ladies.org.
