'Your Story' Research Presentation and Workshop
Sponsored by Youthworks, Scripture Union NSW, and Converge
Speaker – Rev Dr Graham Stanton
Your Story is a ground-breaking research project that gathered stories from over 400 Australian young people (those who identify as Christian and those who don’t), exploring questions around who and what has, and is, shaping their faith from their childhood, early adolescence, and the present time.
This research gives us a new way of understanding not just of where that young person is currently, but what their faith journey has been like from their childhood to now - including all the twists and turns across the different eras of their life.
These workshops will present the key findings from the research and lead reflection on the implications for Christian ministry among children and young people in churches, schools, and homes.
Beyond talking about young people, Your Story highlights the voices of young people themselves. This research honours the spiritual experiences of young people and challenges anyone working with young people to be better listeners as we accompany young people in their stories of faith.
