  • Once your tax return is filed, some clients choose to add ongoing support in case questions or notices arise from the IRS or state agencies. This option provides added peace of mind and helps streamline post-filing assistance if needed.

    Audit Protection includes assistance with IRS or state notices related to this tax return at no additonal cost during the coverage period. 

    Post-filing assistance for IRS or state notices is avaiable at $300 per notice for clients who are not enrolled in Audit Protection.

    Thank you for choosing Signature Premier Services to assist with the preparation of your tax returns. This letter confirms the terms of our engagement and outlines the nature and extent of the services we will provide.

     

    Scope of Services:

    We will prepare your requested federal and state income tax returns for the tax year(s) indicated above. You agree to provide all necessary documentation and information needed to prepare complete and accurate returns. The law imposes penalties for underestimating tax liability. While we may request clarification of certain items, we will not audit or independently verify the data provided.


    We will perform accounting services only as needed to prepare your returns. Our engagement should not be relied upon to detect errors, fraud, or illegal acts, though we will inform you if we discover any material issues.

     

    Client Responsibilities:

    By submitting this for, you acknowledge and agree that:

    All information provided to Signature Premier Services is complete and accurate to the best of your knowledge.

    You have the necessary documentation to support the income, deductions, credits, and other information reported on your tax return.

    You understand that Signature Premier Services relies entirely on the information you provide and does not independently verify or audit supporting documents unless required by law.

    Providing incomplete or inaccurate information may result in delays, penalties, interest, or adjustments by taxing authorities, for which you are solely responsible.

     

    Limitation of Liability:

    Signature Premier Services and its preparers are not responsible for errors, penalties, or additional taxes resulting from incomplete, inaccurate, or misleading information provided by the client. The client remains responsible for reviewin their completed return for accuracy prior to signing and submission.

     

    Payment Terms:

    Tax preparation fees are earned upon completion of services and are not contingent upon refund timing or processing delays by the IRS or state agencies. 

     

    Records & Retention:

    Signature Premier Services will return orginial documents upon completion of services. Copies of tax returns and supporting documents will be retained for a minimum of three (3) years in accordance with applicable regulations, after which they may be securely destroyed. Clients are responsible for maintaining their own copies of tax records. 

     

    Filing Authorization:

    Our engagement concludes upon:

    Delivery of completed returns to you (if paper filing), or your signature and our subsequent e-filing of your return. If you do not e-file through our office, you are solely responsible for submitting your return to the taxing authorities. Review all documents carefully before signing.
