About the eCPR Practitioner Certification Training
Emotional CPR is a public health education program designed to teach people to assist others through emotional crisis or distress. Through this 12-hour online training, you learn the basics of carrying out this form of peer-led emotional support.
Recognizing the intensity of the current moment and the multiple crises we are facing, with heightened political divisions, polarization and great uncertainty, Emotional CPR can help us to address feelings of isolation, fear and disconnection. Through eCPR, we use feelings as the basis for connecting without going into the content of our stories, political beliefs, or affiliations. In this, we are given tools for finding each other in sites of compassion, joy, vulnerability, hope and all that is in between.
This is an interactive and experiential training where you are expected to share something of yourself. A huge part of the philosophy behind eCPR is that speaking from your authentic voice is the most helpful part of providing support to another person. In the training we get in touch with and share our individual and collective feelings for mutual connection, empowerment and revitalization.
The training will be carried out online in four 3-hour sessions in March and April 2025.
