Living Water Christian Academy’s policy is that any violations of sexual misconduct and child abuse and neglect may result in immediate dismissal.
Sexual harassment is defined by (EEOC) as any “unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other verbal or physical harassment of a sexual nature” ("Sexual Harassment." 2024). Examples of sexual harassment include sexual advances, propositions, perverse flirtations, and obscene gestures by using words, pictures, objects, or other actions that relate to sexual activity.
This conduct may be verbal, nonverbal, or physical, and the behavior in question does not necessarily have to be aimed at the student complaining of harassment. The administration of the LWCA will decide whether or not an offense qualifies as sexual harassment.
Sexual harassment does not include roughhousing or non-sexual touching. Reporting sexual harassment is not a joke and should not be reported as such. The administration of the LWCA will decide whether or not an offense qualifies as sexual harassment. Likewise, falsely reporting sexual harassment will result in disciplinary action determined by the administration.
Living Water Christian Academy encourages healthy relationships between students and adults that promote student excellence and success. In order to safeguard adults from misunderstandings and unsubstantiated accusations and protect students from sexual misbehavior and abuse, all adults who volunteer or are employed must have clear and appropriate limits for their interactions.
