The Village of Calumet Downtown Development Authority (DDA) is delighted to continue the Small Scale Projects Grant Program (ranging from $250 to $2,500) aimed at fostering business growth and expansion within the downtown district and redevelopment of our historic buildings. This program support initiatives that contribute to the enhancement of the business climate and beautification of the DDA district.

Type of Project (Select all that Apply): The DDA's current focus is to improve the exterior appearance of the district and to further encourage building rehabilitation. Grants that help achieve this goal will be given higher priority. All grants are awarded at the discretion of the DDA Board.

If the project is to benefit a business, please include information on how this project will impact the subject business. If this project will result in rehabilitation of a building, please include how you intend to see the building utilized.

Project Details
Are you applying for an exterior building improvement, signage or outside property improvement project? All exterior projects within the downtown and historic district will require a Certificate of Appropriateness (COA) from the Historic District Commission. Depending on the nature of your project, you may be also subject to zoning regulations and may require a Zoning Permit. Projects that have not yet received a COA or Zoning Permit are not excluded from consideration for the application period. However, grantees will not be reimbursed if a required COA or Zoning Permit is not received prior to the initiation of exterior projects.
