Florida A&M University Northern Virginia Alumni Chapter 2025 Scholarship Application
The purpose of the Northern Virginia (NOVA) Alumni Chapter of Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU) and its membership is to enhance and support the continued existence of FAMU, as a subsidiary of the Association, by: raising and giving funds to Florida A&M University (the University) that will support its programs; recruiting students that will attend the University; recruiting alumni and others that will support the University and its goals, through membership in the Association; doing those things that perpetuate a positive image of the Association and the University; and influencing communities and governmental activities that will support the University's priorities. The NOVA Chapter shall enhance the area’s knowledge of the University’s official programs and activities and the accomplishments of its students, faculty, and alumni. The NOVA Chapter shall also assist in the University’s recruitment of outstanding applicants for admission.

Scholarship Qualifications: Applicants must meet the following criteria to be eligible for the NOVA FAMU scholarship. We will award one $2,000 scholarship award, and the award recipient will be notified via email by April 11, 2025.
- must plan to attend Florida A&M University;
- must be a resident of the state of Virginia;
- must be an incoming freshman;
- must have exemplary leadership and/or engagement in school and/or community;
- complete the application below; and
- be available for a virtual interview (up to 20 minutes) between March 31st and April 9th.
*Application deadline is March 28, 2025 at 11:59pm. Applications submitted after this date will not be considered.
