Healing Modalities & Participant Expectations
This retreat is an immersive healing experience that blends powerful indigenous and holistic modalities to facilitate deep physical, emotional, and energetic cleansing. Through sacred medicines, somatic healing, and integration practices, participants are guided through a transformative journey of purification, renewal, and self-discovery. These experiences can be physically, emotionally, and spiritually intense, and by signing this form, you acknowledge that you are voluntarily participating, have disclosed any relevant health conditions, and take full responsibility for your well-being during the retreat.
The retreat incorporates Kambo, Hapé, Mambe, and Ambil, each offering unique healing benefits. Kambo, a secretion from the Amazonian Phyllomedusa bicolor frog, is applied to small burns on the skin, triggering an intense detoxification process that clears toxins, strengthens the immune system, and releases emotional blockages. Hapé, a sacred Amazonian tobacco blend, is administered through a ceremonial pipe (Tepi), bringing grounding, mental clarity, and energetic realignment. Mambe and Ambil, traditionally used together, work to enhance mental clarity, emotional openness, and deep introspection. Mambe, made from toasted coca leaves and yarumo ash, increases energy, focus, and heart-centered awareness, while Ambil, a Mapacho tobacco paste mixed with mineral salts, fosters inner balance, emotional alignment, and deep self-connection.
In addition to these sacred medicines, the retreat includes a variety of healing practices designed to support full-body purification and emotional release. Sweat lodge ceremonies utilize intense heat to detoxify the body, facilitate emotional release, and encourage deep introspection. Cold plunges strengthen the nervous system, reduce inflammation, and build resilience through deep immersion therapy, while the hot tub serves as a grounding space for relaxation and integration. Finally, carpet work, a somatic therapy practice, provides a safe space for emotional release, trauma processing, and nervous system regulation through guided movement, breathwork, and body-based healing techniques.
