10 March: ‘Webinar Two: Building Bridges, Not Walls’, IIAS’s multinational and multicultural membership is a model of international collaboration consistently demonstrating earned and respected cross-cultural competence in team dynamics.
24 March: ‘Webinar Three: Uplifting Neighbors, Not Exploiting Them’, IIAS’s Space for all Nations program is working within Guatemala to build a STEM institute that leverages our expertise and facilities to drive education, technical innovation, and business incubation. This will validate our globally-replicable model for Emerging Space Nations.
7 April: ‘Webinar Four: Climate Mandates for the Aerospace Community’, Climate change is an existential threat to humanity, and the responsibility weighs heavily upon the aerospace community – a community that provides most of our global climate data as well as much of the sustainable technology required to implement minimally-impactful communities that are required to address it.
21 April: ‘Webinar Five: Women’s Equity in Aerospace’, IIAS continues to emphasize the importance of innovative women’s health research through our Center for Space Medicine while providing positive representation for girls through PoSSUM13 and our (merit-based, all-female) crew for the IIAS-02 space mission.
5 May ‘Webinar Six: LGBTQ+ Equity in Aerospace’, Through Out Astronaut, IIAS provides positive representation to the LGBTQ+ community while addressing aeromedical knowledge gaps and systemic exclusionary practices. This year, we are proudly announcing the first All-LGBTQ+ microgravity research flight this October, including the first dedicated aeromedical studies involving issues specific to transgender people.
19 May: ‘Webinar Seven: Removing Barriers to Space and STEM’, IIAS is committed to providing affordable access to expertise and facilities that promote science education and innovation through our Center for Bioastronautics, Center for Flight Research, Center for Space Simulation, and our Flight Opportunities Program, the world’s first dedicated research space flight program.
