Application to the Service to Startup Business Accelerator Program

Empowering Veteran Entrepreneurs to Succeed

Thank you for your interest in the Femmevet Business Accelerator Program! This program is designed to support veteran entrepreneurs by providing mentorship, funding opportunities, and business development resources.

Applicants must complete this application in its entirety to be considered for acceptance as a participant in the Service to Startup Accelerator Program. All applicants will be interviewed by the Femmevet staff and given an opportunity to discuss their business further. Acceptance and participation is afforded at the sole and absolute discretion of FemmeVet.

ELIGIBILITY

At least one owner of the business must be a veteran or a depenedent of a veteran. Veterans without formal business plans are expected to write one within 6 months of participation in the program.

REQUIREMENTS

Veterans will be required to participate in programs designed to increase their chances for success. This includes meeting at least weekly with their business consultant and attending entrepreneurial speaker events and training workshops.

ADMISSION CRITERIA

FemmeVet's Service to Startup Accelerator Program should be accessible to any veteran with a business. The mission of Femmevet is to support disabled veterans by providing resources, fostering community, and advocating for their needs. We aim to create an inclusive environment where every individual can thrive and succeed. We are committed to assisting veteran entrepreneurs who demonstrate the greatest chance for success, growth, and adding jobs to the community.

The veteran should be able to meet the following criteria to gain acceptance into the program:

1. The veteran should represent a small startup business.

2. The veteran will agree to produce a business plan

3. The veteran can articulate the business model and entrepreneurial opportunity.

4. The veteran’s business concept is unique.

5. The essential resources needed to start the business are available or can be acquired.

6. The veteran is willing to adhere to the policies and procedures of the program and facility.
