Thank you for considering participating in the 2025 ChoreoLab. Please, read the full text below before applying.
Conditions to Participation:
The program is limited to five participants (a participant may apply as a group). Applicants residing in Vermont or New Hampshire or those who have strong connections to VT/NH (for example: having been raised, schooled or worked in the twin states) will have priority. However, if there are openings, candidates from neighboring states will be considered on a case by case basis. Candidates will be selected on the strength of their application and their time commitment.
Do not apply if you are unable to perform for the ChoreoLab shows, June 27 and 28 at The Barn in Corinth and July 20 at the Briggs Opera House in White River Junction, VT.
Two studio options:
- A studio located in Corinth, VT in a renovated barn. The Barn in Corinth is now a gorgeous, climate-controlled dance studio with a professional dance floor, mirrors and barre. It has high ceilings and is free of structural barriers. Floor dimensions are 30’ width x 25’ depth. There is a separate entrance and a loft area for changing and for breaks. The space is well suited for small performances: it has professional lighting, audio and wireless internet.
- A studio located in downtown Barre, VT at the DANCE AND Movement Center. State of the art, with high ceiling, new Marley floor, mirrors, dressing rooms, bathrooms.
Program:
This two-month spring program is designed for local artists. Participants receive a weekly studio time slot for at least three hours per day, though not necessarily daily. Schedules are flexible to accommodate individual needs. For example, a solo artist might reserve a 3-hour slot every Tuesday, while a group might need 4-hour slots on Mondays and Wednesdays. Weekend slots are reserved for artists who work during the week, or for intensive sessions. Contact Elizabeth at info@thejunctiondancefestival.org for more information about intensives.
Final schedules will be assigned based on choreographic needs. A customized schedule will be assigned to the participants. Schedule changes after the start of the residency will be granted under special permission. The Barn studio is open from 10:00am to 9:00pm, daily. Barre studio is subject to availability.
Your project:
