Retreat Leaders are:
Lisa Ihns is a certified spiritual director and a member of the State Bar of Georgia. In 2018, she completed the Contemplation and Care of Creation certificate program at The University of the South's Center for Deep Green Faith and is currently enrolled in the Eco-Ministry Certificate program through the Seminary of the Wild. Lisa enjoys creating space for others to experience the comfort, healing and transformation that awaits in the beauty and solitude of God’s sacred, natural world.
Sonja Crawford is a certified spiritual director and has been a flight attendant for over thirty years. She has recently helped start a Creation Care ministry at her parish, St. Christopher’s Episcopal in Pensacola and is currently enrolled in the Certificate in Contemplation and Care for Creation program through the Center for Deep Green Faith. Her deepest passion around creation care is using native plants in the landscape as a way to cooperate with God in healing and restoration.
This retreat will be using some of the material and practices from the book Robert Gottfried and Frederick W. Kruegar: Living in an Icon: A Program for Growing Closer to Creation and to God.
For Saturday, please dress appropriately for outdoor hiking and bring a reusable water bottle. We will have a water cooler available for refilling water bottles.
