Once selected, scholarship recipients will be asked to share proof of enrollment at their chosen educational institution so the Chamber can release the scholarship funds. This milestone marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter, and we’re honored to support you on that journey. As part of the experience, recipients will also be invited to attend the 2027 Virginia Chamber Day at the Capitol, where they’ll have the opportunity to spend the day alongside New Kent Chamber President & CEO as well as Chamber leaders from across Virginia, gain real-world insight into leadership and advocacy, and see firsthand how business and community impact come together.

Many scholarships are designed to offer aid to students that represent unique characteristics. Please check each of the qualifiers below that apply to you. This data may increase your likelihood of qualifying for selected scholarships. Please note, if you are awarded a scholarship based on any of these qualifiers, you will be asked to produce documentation verifying your unique eligibility.

Your essay should be 300-500 words. You should address in your essay: your trade or college goals and choice of major, what you intend to do with your education, and why a scholarship is important to you. Include any academic and non-academic accomplishments, personal characteristics, or experiences that make you uniquely worthy of scholarship consideration.
