I understand that NSP participants must continue to fulfill research support responsibilities and staffing (e.g., postdocs and staff research positions). As a participant I may not terminate the employment of supported staff in order to increase available funding for an NSC. Staffing changes, proposed layoffs connected to any fund source used to support an NSP funding or under the control of the NSP participant, will be subject to additional review.
I understand that my department, the Office of Academic Personnel and/or the UC System Provost/EVP Office may request data on my staffing personnel at any time.

I understand that early withdrawal from the program is allowed only upon separation from the University, as a result of a determination that a participant has fallen out of Good Standing, as a result of an official disciplinary action (as described in APM - 015, APM - 016, and Senate Bylaw 230), misuse of funds, due to an increase (i.e. general range adjustment) in Base Salary that subsumes the NSC, or upon appointment to an ineligible administrative appointment or title series.
