Walter C. Wynn/Samuel Thompson Scholarship
Requirements/Eligibility: Applicants must plan to attend Florida A&M University starting the Fall semester of 2025.
Service Area: Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia
Washington, DC, NOVA (Northern Virginia), Greater Baltimore and Tidewater, VA
GPA Requirements: Applicants must have a 3.00 Recalculated Unweighted Grade-Point Average on 4.00 Scale. Applicants must complete the application and submit it along with a copy of his/her transcript.
FAFSA: Copy of the FAFSA certificate of eligibility with family income and expected family contribution.
Application Deadline: The Application deadline for submitting the completed application, required documentation, transcript, and essay is Thursday, March 27, 2025, by 11:59 pm ET
Scholarship Amount: Up to $2,000.00 scholarships will be awarded to students that meet the criteria above.
FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) form must be included with each scholarship application to protect students' privacy rights. Consent to release student information to verify student’s enrollment for distribution of funds.
Transcript: Document must include your name, school name, G.P.A., and the 2024 - 2025 grades. This can be printed from the website or have an official transcript mailed directly to the Philly FAMU Alumni Chapter's P.O. Box number. Please note that your final report card/transcript from the Senior year is acceptable. This may be obtained from the local guidance counselor or designated high school administrator/teacher and emailed as instructed above.
