    Intermediate Obedience (Saturday Group) — June 2026. Start Date: Saturday, June 20th, 2026 Time: 9:15 AM (Note: Dates are subject to weather and enrollment minimums) Take your training to the next level! This class is designed to bridge the gap between basic manners and advanced control, focusing on shifting your dog's focus away from the environment and back onto you to prepare your team for advanced and off-leash work. What Your Dog Will Learn: • True Neutrality: Calm coexistence and indifference around other dogs and people. • Precision Skill Building: Refining precise heeling and rapid, reliable recall under high distraction. • Prolonged Stays: Building duration and reliability in core positions around movement. • Handler Focus: Choosing to stay engaged with you, even around intense real-world distractions. • Off-Leash Prep: Developing the real-world control needed for future advanced freedom. What You Will Learn: • Advanced Engagement: How to build intense motivation and remain the most interesting thing in the room. • Proofing Mechanics: Mastery of handling skills to handle higher-level environmental stress. • Handler Focus: Perfecting your timing and rewards to maintain a flawless working relationship. Goal: To develop a highly focused, reliable companion who chooses you over any distraction. (Note: This is an intermediate-level course. Dogs should already have a basic understanding of obedience foundations, as we will be proofing existing behaviors rather than teaching them from scratch.)

What Your Dog Will Learn: • Impulse Control & Neutrality: Building focus amidst distractions. • Core Positions: Reliable Sit, Down, and Stay. • Leash Manners: Foundation for a clean Loose Leash Walk. • The "Place" Command: Teaching physical and mental relaxation. • Recall (Come): Building an enthusiastic and dependable return. What You Will Learn: • Engagement: How to build a stronger bond and "work" with your dog. • Communication: Mastery of leash pressure and spatial awareness. • Mechanics: Precision timing of reward markers and luring techniques. Goal: To develop a focused, reliable companion you can take anywhere with confidence. Completion of this course also qualifies you for our optional Advanced Doggie Diploma program.

    A minimum of three (3) dogs is requird for class to prossed. If the class does not meet this minimum enrollment, you will recieve a full refund of your class fee. You will be notified in advance if the class is canceled due to low enrollment.

    I, acknowledge that participation in the Basic Obedience Group Class offered by Be In Control Dog Training is voluntary and involves inherent risks, including but not limited to injury to myself, my dog, or others.

    I understand that while Be In Control Dog Training will take reasonable precautions to ensure a safe training environment, I assume full responsibility for my dog's behavior and actions during training sessions. I agree to follow all instructions provided by the trainer and take necessary measures to prevent accidents or injuries.

    By signing this waiver, I agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless Be In Control Dog Training, its owners, trainers, and affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising from participation in the training class, including but not limited to injuries, loss, or harm to myself, my dog, or others.

    I confirm that my dog is up to date on all required vaccinations and is in good health for training. I understand that failure to disclose behavioral or health issues may result in dismissal from the class without refund.
