The Tennessee Hemophilia & Bleeding Disorders Foundation is now accepting applications for the Junior Board Member position. This is a non-voting role on the THBDF Board of Directors, open to at least two eligible teens each year. Below are the eligibility criteria and application process.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must have a bleeding disorder or be directly related to someone with a bleeding disorder
- Must be able to attend four board meetings annually, which take place virtually
- Must be between the ages of 14 and 18 (finished with 8th grade). At 18 you are eligible to serve on the Board as a full voting member. If you turn 18 during your term, you will remain a non-voting member until your term ends
- Junior Board Members are eligibile to serve more than one term as a teen representative, should the time work out
- Must be the liaison between the teens and the THBDF Board of Directors
- Coordinate communication with potential teen participants and support event recruitment. Check in with teens before and after events to get their feedback
