    Our 4-day Veterinary Science Spring Break Camp offers children aged 7-10 a heartwarming and educational adventure, nurturing their love for animals and curiosity about the world of veterinary care. Throughout the week, campers will engage in hands-on activities, learning how to care for pets, understand animal behavior, and explore the basics of veterinary medicine in a fun, supportive environment. Guided by passionate professionals, each day is filled with interactive lessons, exciting animal encounters, and creative projects designed to inspire and empower young minds. By the end of the camp, children will leave with new friendships, unforgettable memories, and a deeper appreciation for the important role veterinarians play in keeping our animal friends healthy and happy.

    Time: 10:00 A.M. - 2:00 P.M.

    To ensure the smooth operation of our camp program and respect the time of our staff, we would like to set the expectation that there will be no late pickups or after-camp care provided. All campers must be picked up promptly at the designated end time of the camp day. We understand that unexpected situations can arise; however, due to our staffing limitations and scheduling constraints, we are unable to accommodate late pickups or offer after-camp care services. We kindly ask for your cooperation in adhering to these guidelines to help us provide a safe and efficient camp experience for everyone.

    Please ensure your child brings the following items each day:

    Individuals authorized to pick up a child must be listed on the child's registration form and are required to show a valid photo ID at the time of pick-up. We will not release your child, under no circumstances, to any individual not on the list and without proper identification
  • Informed Consent And Acknowledgement

    I hereby give my approval for my child’s participation in any and all activities prepared by Rise And Shine K9 LLC during the program. In exchange for the acceptance of said participants candidacy by Rise And Shine K9 LLC, I assume all risk and hazards incidental to the conduct of the activities, and release, absolve and hold harmless Rise And Shine K9 LLC, County Line Montessori School, the Hanover Community Center and all its respective officers, agents, and representatives from any and all liability for injuries to said child arising out of traveling to, participating in, or returning from the program In case of injury to said child, I hereby waive all claims against Rise and Shine K9 LLC including all instructors, tour guides, affiliates, all participants, sponsoring agencies, advertisers, and, if applicable, owners and lessors of premises used to conduct the event. 
  • I, the undersigned parent/guardian, understand that participation in the Veterinary Science Camp involves my child handling and interacting with small animals. While all necessary precautions will be taken to ensure the safety of participants and animals, I acknowledge that there are inherent risks involved in working with live animals, including but not limited to bites, scratches, allergic reactions, and other potential injuries. By signing this waiver, I agree to the following:

    1. Assumption of Risk: I voluntarily allow my child to participate in activities that involve handling small animals and acknowledge the inherent risks associated with these activities.

    2. Release of Liability: I release and hold harmless Rise And Shine K9, LLC, County Line Montessori School, the Hanover Community Center, its staff, volunteers, and affiliated organizations from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, and causes of action arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury, including death, that may be sustained by my child or to any property belonging to me or my child while participating in the camp.

    3. Medical Authorization: In the event of an emergency, I authorize camp staff to seek appropriate medical treatment for my child. I understand that I will be responsible for any medical costs incurred.

    4. Supervision and Safety: I understand that the camp staff will provide appropriate supervision and safety instructions to ensure a safe environment for all participants. I agree that my child will follow all safety rules and instructions given by the staff.

    5. Indemnification: I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Rise And Shine K9 LLC, County Line Montessori School, the Hanover Community Center, its staff, volunteers, and affiliated organizations from any loss, liability, damage, or costs, including court costs and attorney fees, that they may incur due to my child's participation in the camp.

    As part of our veterinary science curriculum, students will participate in a hands-on dissection activity involving a preserved specimen. This activity is designed to enhance understanding of animal anatomy, biology, and veterinary science principles in a safe and supervised environment.

    Acknowledgment and Consent: I, the undersigned parent/guardian, acknowledge and understand the following:

    1. My child will be participating in a supervised dissection of a preserved specimen.

    2. The materials used in this activity are sourced ethically and are safe for educational use. One specimen will be given per group of 2/3 students.

    3. Participation in the dissection is voluntary, and alternative learning activities will be available upon request.

    4. My child is expected to follow all safety protocols, including the use of gloves, goggles, and proper handling of dissection tools.

    5. The instructor and staff will take all reasonable precautions to ensure a safe learning experience, but I understand that there is an inherent risk in handling biological specimens.

    6. I release and hold harmless Rise And Shine K9 LLC, County Line Montessori School, the Hanover Communirt Center, its instructors, staff, and affiliates from any claims, liabilities, or damages arising from my child's participation in this activity.

    Liability Clause: I acknowledge that participation in specimen dissection carries inherent risks, including but not limited to exposure to biological materials, sharp instruments, and potential allergic reactions. I agree that Rise And Shine K9 LLC, County Line Montessori, the Hanover Community Center, its instructors, staff, and affiliates are not liable for any injuries, allergic reactions, or other adverse effects that may occur during or as a result of this activity. I accept full responsibility for any medical expenses incurred due to participation and understand that safety measures will be enforced to minimize risk.

  • MEDICAL RELEASE AUTHORIZATION

    As Parent and/or Guardian of the named participant(s), I hereby authorize the diagnosis and treatment by a qualified and licensed medical professional, of the minor child, in the event of a medical emergency, which in the opinion of the attending medical professional, requires immediate attention to prevent further endangerment of the minor’s life, physical disfigurement, physical impairment, or other undue pain, suffering or discomfort, if delayed.

    Permission is hereby granted to the attending physician to proceed with any medical or minor surgical treatment, x-ray examination and immunizations for the named participant.

    In the event of an emergency arising out of serious illness, the need for major surgery, or significant accidental injury, I understand that every attempt will be made by the attending physician to contact me in the most expeditious way possible.

    This authorization is granted only after a reasonable effort has been made to reach me.

    Permission is also granted to the Culture Encounters and its affiliates including Directors, Instructors, guides, and volunteers to provide the needed emergency treatment prior to the child’s admission to the medical facility.Release authorized on the dates and/or duration of the program.

    This release is authorized and executed of my own free will, with the sole purpose of authorizing medical treatment under emergency circumstances, for the protection of life of the named minor child, in my absence.

  • PHOTO RELEASE AUTHORIZATION

    I, the undersigned parent/guardian, hereby grant permission to the Veterinary Science Camp and its representatives to take and use photographs, video recordings, and digital images of my child named above in connection with camp activities for the purposes outlined below:

    1. Camp Materials: The images may be used in camp-related materials such as brochures, flyers, newsletters, and other promotional materials.Social Media: The images may be posted on the camp's official social media channels, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and the camp's website.

    2. Publicity: The images may be used in media releases, news articles, and other forms of public communication to promote the camp and its activities. I understand that these images may be used without further notification, and I waive any right to inspect or approve the finished product or the use to which it may be applied. I acknowledge that no compensation will be provided for the use of these images.I further release the Rise And Shine K9, its staff, volunteers, and affiliated organizations from any liability related to the use of these images, including any claims for libel, invasion of privacy, or violation of rights of publicity or misappropriation.

  • Refund Policy

    Thank you for choosing our Veterinary Science Summer Camp for your child. Please review our refund policy carefully. No Refunds: Once your child's enrollment is confirmed and payment is made, no refunds will be issued under any circumstances. Non-Transferable: Camp fees are non-transferable to other programs, sessions, or participants. Cancellations: If the camp is canceled by the organizers due to unforeseen circumstances, a full refund will be issued to all registered participants. Emergency Situations: In the event of a medical emergency or other serious, documented issue preventing your child from attending camp, please contact the camp coordinator. While refunds are not typically issued, exceptions may be considered on a case-by-case basis. COVID-19 Policy: Should the camp be affected by COVID-19 regulations or concerns, we will follow all recommended guidelines and provide updates regarding any changes to the schedule or policies. In case of camp cancellation due to COVID-19, refunds or credits towards future camps may be offered. A minimum of six participants is required for the summer camp to proceed. A full refund will be issued if the minimum number of six participants is not met for the summer camp. By enrolling your child in our camp, you acknowledge and agree to this refund policy.
  • ACKNOWLEDGMENT AND CONSENT

    I have read and understand this waiver, and I voluntarily grant permission for my child to participate in this veterinary science program.

    BY ACKNOWLEDGING AND SIGNING BELOW, AM DELIVERING AN ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE THAT WILL HAVE THE SAME EFFECT AS AN ORIGINAL MANUAL PAPER SIGNATURE.

    I hereby give my approval for my child’s participation in any and all activities prepared by Rise And Shine K9 during the Veterinary Science program. ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE WILL BE EQUALLY AS BINDING AS AN ORIGINAL MANUAL PAPER SIGNATURE.
