  • USTA NH is committed to growing and promoting tennis at the local level. To that end, we offer a variety of grants to assist organizations in initiating or expanding tennis programming. Grants may be used to develop fun and instructional programs and/or organize league or recreational play for people of all ages, abilities and populations. Our long-term goal in providing grants is to help programs become self-sufficient.  

    Grant Eligibility

    Financial support will be awarded to organizations or individuals. Organizations must be USTA members.

    GRANT GUIDELINES

    1. All grant applications must be fully completed.
    2. To be considered for a grant, an organization or program must be a current USTA Organizational Member. 
    3. Any program registration fee should be reasonable in order to encourage participation and be affordable for families in the community.  Provisions should also be made for interested participants who need financial assistance.
    4. Generally, grants are not meant to support one-day programs or special events.  The intent is to support multi-session programs that provide on-going play opportunities.  
    5. All grant applicants must submit a complete grant application form that includes a description of the program, program objectives, evaluation methods, and program budget (pages 2-4).
    6. All grant recipients must submit a grant accountability form within two weeks of the conclusion of the program.  If the program is ongoing, an evaluation must be submitted no later than the end of the fiscal year the grant was awarded

  • Rhode Island State Association Grant Application

  • Thank you for your interest in applying for a grant from the Rhode Island State Association. Please note that Rhode Island grants differ from those offered by other New England State Associations in two key ways:

    1. The maximum grant amount is $3,000.
    2. Funding cannot be used for instructor or coach salaries.

    Please keep these differences in mind before submitting your application.

  • Vermont State Association Grant Application

  • To help grow a more vibrant and inclusive tennis community in our state, USTA Vermont is offering to support individuals and organizations through our rolling grant program. Please read the requirements carefully before submitting. All grant application inquiries and submissions should be sent directly to Joanna Beall, President at ustavtassoc@gmail.com.

    Applications must be focused on programs that engage new players and/or retain existing players

    Applicants are limited to one grant application per program.

    Applicants must be current USTA Member Organizations.

    Applicants MUST be Safe Play approved.

    Scholarship Applicants will be reimbursed only upon program completion

    Grant funds may not be used for prize money.

    Applicants that received funding from USTA Vermont will submit a completed follow-up form within six months to be considered for future funding.

  • Western Massachusetts State Association Grant Application

  • USTA WESTERN MASS GRANTS 2024
    Thank you for your interest in partnering with USTA Western Massachusetts to grow tennis in our area.  Our mission is to promote, advance and help sponsor the growth and development of tennis in Western Mass. 
     
    We have grant funds available to assist qualified organizations start new tennis programs or help established programs grow.  Grant funds could be used for supplies, court time, staffing, marketing expenses or other program needs.  We also provide grants to assist with start-up expenses for Community Tennis Associations (CTAs) or NJTLs as well as for capital projects.  Our goal is to assist organizations in providing tennis opportunities with an eye toward future sustainability.  Grants will not be awarded for more than three continuous years unless there are extenuating circumstances.
     
    If you are planning to offer such a program or need assistance with a tennis project, we would love to hear from you!
     
    GRANT ELIGIBILITY
    1. Financial support will be awarded to 501(c)(3) charitable organizations only.

    2. Applications for individuals will not be accepted.  However we encourage individuals to contact us for information on our scholarship opportunities.

    3. Organizations must be looking to provide a tennis opportunity within the boundaries of Western Massachusetts, which includes Hampden, Hampshire, Berkshire and Franklin counties.

    4. Applying organizations must be open to all people regardless of race, color, creed, religion, gender, national origin, age, disability, sexual orientation, citizenship status, or veteran status.  USTA Membership is required for all applicants.
     
    GRANT GUIDELINES
    Before applying for a USTA Western Massachusetts grant, please read and understand all grant types, determine your proposed program details and create a detailed budget.  Once that is done, please complete the online application.  All required information must be submitted prior to consideration.

    1. All organizations must have 501(c)(3) charity status and must provide a copy of their IRS Determination Letter

    2. To be considered for a grant, an organization or program must be a current USTA Organizational member.  USTA Organizational membership is free.  You can verify and renew your organization’s USTA membership at: https://www.usta.com/en/home/membership/organizationalmemberships.html

    3. In general, program grants are meant to support multi-session programs that provide ongoing play opportunities vs single day events.

If funded you must submit a grant accountability form and other required information within the timetable outlined in the grant award letter.  Organizations and programs that fail to submit an evaluation may jeopardize their opportunity to receive support from USTA Western Mass in the future.

    6. USTA Western Mass grants are provided throughout the year on a rolling basis.
