Lectio Divina during Lent 2025
  • Lectio Divina during Lent

Searching for a way to reflect more deeply during Lent? Sign up here to join a small faith sharing group.
  • What is Lectio Divina?

Meaning "Divine Reading" or "Spiritual Reading" Lectio Divina is spiritual practice with many branches, but all help the seeker to meditate on scripture in search of God's voice or movement. In this iteration each group will listen to a short excerpt of scripture from the upcoming Gospel of the week. With about 75-minutes allotted, the passage will be read 4x, with an invitation to listen silently; share a word of phrase that feels significant; share a memory/feeling/image/word; consider an invitation that God is making to you. This practice is to help us grow in community with one another, and to listen intentionally for God's movement in our lives. Each group will comprise 5-6 people with a facilitator for each group.
  • What is the time commitment?

Commit to attending the same group each week, 4 weeks in Lent for 75-minutes.
  • Where do we meet?

Some groups will meet on-line via. Zoom. Groups meeting in-person will meet in the back of the Church in Manresa gallery.
