HATTIE THOMAS LUCAS SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATON 2026
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
1. Graduating Senior-June 2026
2. 3.0 GPA or higher per semester
3. African-American high school senior or adult (25-35 returning to complete degree).
4. Be accepted for admission and attend an accredited four-year college or university.
5. Have demonstrated great potential with high morals, involved in Christian Education activities, and in regular attendance at a Christian (Bible-based) church.
APPLICATION PROCEDURES

The applicant will:
1. Submit completed application form that is available at http://www.nnacdst.org
2. Submit one (1) Essay that specifically addresses the topic in the application.
3. Submit one (1) signed letter of recommendation from a teacher/administrator (pen & ink signatures only - no electronic signatures)
4. Submit one (1) signed letter of recommendation from a church, civic or other community group (on letterhead--pen & ink signatures only- no electronic signatures)
5. Submit an official high school transcript
6. Submit the application form and all requested items electronically to http://www.nnacdst.org.
Applications are due by Monday, March 23rd, 2026 by 9:00 a.m.

APPLICATIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED ELECTRONICALLY.

HAND CARRIED APPLICATIONS AND TRANSCRIPTS WILL NOT BE

ACCEPTED.
