  • Important information for Animals in the parade:

    In general animals are lined up towards the end of the parade.

    Please note there will be noise during the parade to include sirens, music, drums, etc. Animals who startle easily are not encouraged in the parade.

    The parade organizers work to arrange an official animal clean up crew for the parade. In the event one is not available, participants will be notified prior to the event and will be required to provide an appropriate sweeper in order to participate.

  • The 2025 Marigold Festival is May 10th

    Line Up Time:  Check in time begins at 7:30 a.m. Positions are given as participants arrive with discretion of the parade committee. All participants must be checked in by 9:30 a.m. and in their designated position to participate in the parade.              

    Participants who arrive after the designated line-up time may not be allowed to participate. If you will need to decorate your vehicle/float you must be fully ready no later than 9:30 am to proceed with the parade. You may decorate in your line up position but you must be ready by 9:30am.

    Line Up Location:  Historic Winterville School/RESA; North Church Street @ Winter Street

    Parade Start Time:  10:00 a.m. 

    Parade Route:  1 mile

    Please note the following:

    You must check in with Festival Staff upon arrival in the rear parking lot of the Winterville First Baptist Church.  You will be given your position number and directed to the lineup location.

    Floats, tractors and other vehicles that need to arrive early may line up starting at 7:30 a.m.  One person, with the ability to move your float or vehicle, must remain with the unit at all times. Only vehicles that will be in the parade will be allowed into the parade line up area. There is ample parking for all other vehicles.

    Floats, tractors and other vehicles with more than one vehicle in the group must all be present to be checked in.

    Bands, twirlers, flags, walking units:  Once you are in the parade line up, you must stay with your group!

    The blowing of horns, whistles or sirens before the parade begins is strictly prohibited.

    Map of parade route, drop off location and parking areas will be available prior to the Festival.

  • The Parade Committee expressly reserves the right to reject the application of any organization whose float, message or participants, at the sole discretion of the Parade Committee, is considered potentially disruptive, offensive or in poor taste and not in keeping with the tradition of the Marigold Festival Parade.  The parade participants agree to hold harmless and indemnify the Winterville Marigold Festival Inc., the City of Winterville and their individual members, officers or agents from any and all claims arising out of their participation in the parade.
