  • About the exchange

     

    Pony Club Australia is excited to announce an incredible opportunity for four riders to represent PCA on an international exchange to China!

    About the Exchange
    We do not yet have the intinerary for the May and October exchanges, the May exchange will be focused on cultural exchange with a small competition whilst the October exchange will be a larger competition with visitors from other states.

    This unforgettable experience with the team visiting various prestigious China Pony Club locations:

    The exchange will include a showjumping competition, alongside rich cultural experiences that provide an immersive insight into life in China. While competition is part of the event, the primary focus will be on fostering friendships, learning, and cultural exchange with China Pony Club members.

    A detailed itinerary will be provided to selected riders closer to the event.

    Eligibility Requirements
    To apply, nominees must meet the following criteria:

    Be aged 13–16 years as of 1st January 2025
    Hold a minimum C Level Certificate before departure
    Have showjumping performance experience
    Be endorsed by their Club and State Pony Club
    Hold or be willing to obtain a valid passport 
    Commit to covering the team member costs, estimated at $6,000 (includes airfares, land fees, and uniform; excludes spending money). Please note: Final costs may increase or decrease depending on flight prices at the time of booking.

  • Improper Use of Drugs and Medicines Policy

    International-level riders are required under the Improper Use of Drugs and Medicines Policy to undertake training on the use of drugs, medications and supplements in sport. 
    Required training must be completed and registered in your credentials on JustGo prior to submitting an EOI.  Recommended training is optional to complete and can also be registered on the database.
