We are currently hiring for Summer Camp Staff and Performers; you will have the option to select the specific job(s) in which you are interested.*

Seasonal Full-Time Day Camp Theatre Director (NYC Area Based & Nationwide) Theater Educator (ideally with previous camp experience) to teach theater activity periods and direct musical productions. Applicants must have their own local housing and have access to a vehicle or proximity to public transportation to the camp. *Bussing may also be available.Seasonal Part-Time Day Camp Teaching Artist (NYC Area Based & Nationwide) Theater Educator (ideally with previous camp experience) to teach theater activity periods. Applicants must have their own local housing and have access to a vehicle or proximity to public transportation to the camp. *Bussing may also be available.Seasonal Full-Time Sleepaway Camp Theater Director (NYC Area Based & Nationwide) Theater Educator (ideally with previous camp experience) to teach theater activity periods and direct musical productions. Sleepaway camps provide housing and all meals at the camp.In-Person Teaching Artist (NYC Area Based) This position will teach improv-based theatre programming primarily for children grades K-5. You must be able to self-report to schools in the broader NYC area. Some schools may not be reliably accessible by public transportation. Teaching artists may use a mainstages company vehicle, or provide their own transportation.In-Person Performer (NYC Area Based) Our performance offerings include improv-based Game Shows and scripted Interactive Performances. Majority of our performances are for grades K-5 but can be customized for audiences of all ages. Performers will be expected to self-report to our home base in Astoria, Queens for load-in and load-out, drive a mainstages vehicle to show locations, and minimally set-up/ breakdown of show materials.

Camp contracts often include supervision assignments around aquatics and housing, which are separated by male and female designations. While mainstages and our partners are committed to inclusivity, some camps are still working on accommodations for all genders.
