We seek a highly skilled and experienced Intermediate Interior Designer to join our team! This role will focus on the creative and managerial aspects of luxury residential and commercial projects. As a Lead Designer, you will guide design development from concept to completion while taking on project management duties to ensure smooth execution. This is an exciting opportunity to work on intricate design projects where attention to detail, leadership, and a deep understanding of design principles are key.

Key Responsibilities: 

Develop and present creative, conceptual, and development designs and spatial layouts for residential and commercial projects. Drive the overall design direction, ensuring it aligns with the Creative Director (CD) and Design Director (DD) visions and the studio’s standards.

• Oversee all phases of project delivery, from initial concept to final installation, managing timelines, budgets, and client relationships. Ensure that all project milestones are met and the design vision is executed flawlessly.

• Work closely with the CD, DD, and fellow designers to refine design concepts, coordinate technical details, and translate visions into actionable plans. Foster a collaborative environment to ensure smooth workflow across all disciplines.

• Lead client meetings and presentations, clearly communicating design concepts, progress, and adjustments. Ensure clients remain engaged, informed, and satisfied with the project's direction at every stage.

• Translate designs to the drafting team, ensuring that detailed design documents (FF&E schedules, CAD drawings, specifications, and material selections) are completed according to the design. Maintain organized and accurate project records for seamless project tracking and future reference.

• Source, specify, and curate high-end furniture, materials, finishes, and decorative elements, ensuring that selections are cohesive, functional, and align with the overall design concept. Work with custom artisans to create bespoke design elements as needed.

• Ensure the highest quality of work is maintained throughout the project. Oversee the work of external vendors, contractors, and craftsmen to ensure that designs are implemented precisely and according to specifications. Troubleshoot any issues and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure on-time deliveries and high standards.

• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior designers and project coordinators, helping them grow their skills and ensuring the design team functions efficiently. Foster a positive, collaborative work environment.

• Oversee the final installation process, ensuring all design elements come together cohesively. Collaborate with the team to manage the installation timeline and ensure the space is styled to perfection before the client’s reveal.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in high-end interior design, mainly luxury residential, commercial, or hospitality projects, with a proven track record of managing projects from concept to completion.
• Strong background in project management, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, manage timelines and budgets, and communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and team members..
• Expertise in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other design software. Experience with 3D rendering software is a plus.
• Strong understanding of furniture design, material applications, finishes, custom millwork, and construction detailing.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Proven ability to lead and inspire a design team, collaborate with staff, and manage client relationships with professionalism and clarity.
• Strong ability to resolve challenges and make quick, informed decisions under pressure, ensuring projects stay on track and meet the highest standards.
• Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring every design element is executed with precision and quality. A high level of craftsmanship and design sensibility is a must.
