Our decorators are responsbile for all our custom cake orders, dessert cake production, and custom petit fours & cupcake decorations. You'll work alongside our Decorating Manager, learning our house techniques as you go — this isn't a "figure it out alone" role, but it is a role for someone who can look at the day's orders, know what's a priority, and get moving without being told every step.
You might be a great fit if you:
- Stay calm under pressure
- Are willing to learn speed on high volume icing work
- Take feedback in stride
- Are a self-starter who can look at the order queue and prioritize without hand-holding
- Bring a good attitude and a bit of a sense of humor
- Are comfortable delivering wedding cakes personally when needed — including occasional Sunday delivery for Sunday weddings. This isn't a regular shift, but you need to be reliable and available when a wedding calls for it
Nice to have, not required:
- Experience with fondant
- Experience decorating tiered/wedding cakes
Growth path: As you build speed and skill, you'll take on more of our custom and wedding cake work — this is where the real growth (and pay increases) happens.
Schedule:
- Typical hours: ~8am–5pm (7am-2pm on Saturdays)
- Fridays & Saturdays are our busiest days and are required.
- Occasional Sunday availability for deliveries
