EMU CORE Application for Funding

For students with an unpaid balance remaining for Winter 2026 who have exhausted all financial aid options (including loans)
At the Center of Race & Ethnicity (CORE), we understand that one of the most important forms of support for students of color, as it relates to retention and graduation, is funding for tuition/housing. If you are in need of financial support to pay your e-bill balance submit an application.
The amount awarded will be based on the student's individual need and the amount of funding remaining. This application will be reviewed weekly until funds are exhausted.

Requirements:
- Have an EMU cumulative GPA of 2.25 or higher
- Be an active EMU student enrolled for the current semester with a balance due
- Demonstrate high financial need through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
- Exhausted all other financial aid options (including loan offers)
