Snow Shoveler and/or Landscape Maintenance Laborer

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and hardworking Year Round or Seasonal Laborer to join our team, with duties changing based on the season. In the winter, you will be responsible for snow removal, ensuring safe and accessible walkways and rooftops. In the summer, your role will shift to landscape maintenance, including lawn care, garden upkeep, and other landscaping tasks. This is a physically demanding position that requires flexibility and the ability to work in varying weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
Winter (Snow Removal):

• Shovel snow and ice from walkways, driveways, rooftops, and other areas using manual tools such as shovels, snow blowers, and ice scrapers.

• Ensure safe, clear pathways for foot traffic and vehicles.

• Maintain and care for snow removal equipment and tools.

• Follow all safety protocols to minimize risk, especially when working in slippery or high-risk areas (e.g., rooftops, ladders).

• Work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed during snow events.

• November 1st- April 30th

Summer (Landscape Maintenance):

• Perform lawn care duties, including mowing, edging, trimming, and watering.

• Assist with planting, mulching, weeding, and maintaining garden beds.

• Trim trees, shrubs, and bushes to maintain a neat and well-groomed landscape.

• Operate landscape equipment, such as lawnmowers, trimmers, and blowers.

• Remove debris from outdoor spaces to keep areas clean and orderly.

• Assist with irrigation system maintenance and ensure proper watering schedules.

• Follow safety procedures while using power equipment and handling chemicals.

• May 1st- October 31st
Qualifications:
• Ability to perform physical labor outdoors in varying weather conditions (cold winters and hot summers).

• Experience in landscaping, lawn care, or snow removal is preferred but not required.

• Comfortable working with basic hand tools and outdoor equipment (snow shovels, snow blowers, mowers, trimmers, etc.).

• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.

• Ability to work at heights (if involved in rooftop snow removal).

• Reliable transportation to our shop in Four Corners during inclement weather or off-hours for snow removal shifts.

• Knowledge of safety practices when working with power tools or snow removal equipment.

• Flexible availability for early morning, weekend, and holiday shifts during both seasons.

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record is preferred but not required.

• Ability to drive truck and trailer is preferred but not required.
Compensation:
• Competitive hourly rate based on experience.

• Overtime available during peak snow removal seasons.

• Opportunities for year-round employment, depending on performance.
